Thanks, Dita. I love his voice - it's 'different'. Pretty Woman is probably his most memorable, isn't it?
I do hope they can 'leave' the stitches alone - know that's tough for the little ones (kitties or puppies) to do - their instinct just tells them to lick, lick, lick. We had a chow puppy that pulled her stitches out a couple of days after she was spayed, and we had to take her to the emergency clinic (she did it on a weekend, after hours, naturally) to be re-stitched. The second time 'took'. :)
Wow! Where did the year go—again?! LOL
Loved the icy blues pic and poem this am.
Beautiful PIC.
Don’t know where you live, but I’m glad I live here! Snow and ice are ONLY pretty in PICS! LOL
Hey Dita!
Happy Dec to you too!
I am so loving this new Mac. Thought hubby was going to have a stroke. :)
No doubt—it’s way smarter than I am! LOL I’m sitting here on the couch, surrounded by dogs and blanket and MAcs for Dummies books!
Elaborate grooming going on but not yet a concentration on stitches..These they would dissolve. too soon. I think they are trying to get rid of the smell..I will check the stitches often..I am glad I have a few days left in the week to see how it goes..They do have an emergency clinic if anything goes wrong off hours.
.They are wide awake..I want them to rest!...
There is not a room in the house where they can’t jump..they even love the bathtubs..and they both have juumped on the bed or a chair already at least once. I thought they would still be sleepy! No such luck.
My oldest kitten is now out and about..wanting to go into the dusty floored garage..no way will that happen.
Thank you all for reading my kitty operation saga..It’s what’s happening right now and so I do go on! LOL
I love your snow picture of your front yard.
Two kitties just home from the vet?! Have fun! They’ll be just fine sooner than you’d believe.
Our stupid little chihuahua—about 7 years ago—decided to play chicken with a car. Two broken legs and $$$$$$ later.... It was quite a challenge keeping him from jumping on/off. He was not happy to be installed in a small pet kennel. I didn’t give him a choice.
I fear we are going to have more tributes, and it leaves a weight on a soul knowing we may be simply the next as we do nothing.
In my youth, (mid-60’s) I set out to see the world, working my way around it, without a plan or a timetable. Even with the rough spots, the world back then was safer, saner, and more open. Now the social banditry of Islam funda-’mental’-ists holds everything prisoner, and mostly because the rest of the world refuses to do anything about it.
The world wants those willing to, to do something about it, and then they can safely complain that someone else did, so the bad guys may not come at them.
It is against Muslim laws to kill innocents, yet the ‘fundi’s do it often, and nothing happen. I say that until Islam either openly sides with the terrorists in their midst, or stand solidly beside us to aggressively clean the terrorists off the face of the earth, we ought to remember that one of the Sutras (verses) of Islam says ‘you (a Muslim) can lie to an Infidel (you and me) in order to bring us to the punishing fire!’
Until we know the real nature of Islam we should not trust it, or offer it much credence, as the only ones actually seemingly to be following the written and proscribed tenants of the faith are the terrorists!
I don’t want a ‘Mumbai’ event here, but with a lack of strong political will, open borders, rampant illegal entry, and a seemingly growing victim hood mindset here, I’m afraid that we will have such an event and soon.
I ask you each to look at those you love gathered around you this holiday season, and consider that one day they may be the terrible stained and sprawled bodies we see in the news of the night.
That is what is honestly at risk, and yet most people seem to think everything will be just fine. 9/11 should have disproved that, but it seems it has not. Now Mumbai should have reinforced it, but I fear it will not.
I fear we are about to reap the results of professional politicians and public school instilled lack of pride in the country, and the over-whelming sense of apathy and liberal intent generations here have received. I pray not, but I am old enough to remember the terrible things I’ve seen around the world, and I can only pray it doesn’t come here...again.
Lord, but that would make bitter poetry indeed!
Hey Amy!
Beautiful!
It was definitely a “wintery” day here. Cold and raining again. I’ve had enough winter! I demand 75 and sunny! Enough is enough! LOL
All together gorgeousness!
OOO another one!!
Niiiicce!
Great hawk pic and poem! We have the big red tails and sparrow hawks here. And the big—great horned?—owls. Even saw a bald eagle a summer or so ago.
Anyone who thinks the environment is in danger needs to come hang out here for awhile! LOL
Hello FRiend, back atcha!
Very cute;whimsical winter/December scene,indeed!
Beautiful hawk pic especially the white markings and the rootbeer coloring in it’s eye!
