We got up to about 54 today. I stayed in and tried to get some things done that were supposed to have been done already. This week I will be trying to finish shopping for gifts. Thats the hardest thing I have to do. Well everything has been hard this year for some reason.

That is a terrible situation. I had seen on the early morning news pictures of the storm in the Northeast and at that time they didn’t give details. The pictures were horrible with the frozen trees broken....goodness! Praying for relief for those folks soon.

Thank heavens you are spared the long outages
Ice storms can be so destructive of power lines and
trees..

The Spirit of the Season

As snow cascades down around, I hear soft the bells
singers sweet echoing down the lane, a story to tell
sweet the night, and bright the spirit held within
and welcome the family and friends in laughing din

Welcome the stranger, and invite them inside to share
its the right and the proper thing to give each a care
let the Reason for the Season, fill you like a flame
and remember this is to celebrate His loving name.

the truest and greatest gift is held within the soul
and in its illumination, evil and pain suffer toll
not wrapped in papers bright beneath a glistening bow
but filling a heart with a joyous effervescent flow

I thought so, but just wasn’t positive! Glad you enjoyed it, Mr. Mayor. We will be in low 60’s tomorrow and gift shopping is to be finished then I hope! It will be better if I get two warm days.

I think MEG33 could find the right picture for just about anything! She could make bad poetry shine with her graphics!

She and Lady Jag have the knack of seeing graphics as a personal challenge! They both amuse and amaze us all too often. Thanks Ladies for the gift of your humor and skill!
