My guys come home and not too much later get all their energy back and run around for a few hours. Next day after everything's worn off they are sleepy and will sleep a lot that day. I had one cat sleep heavily for two days. Otherwise they get over it fast.

My favorite is apple pi ala mode.

Thanks for the information..I can read all about it but like to hear it from someone I know..I am just trying to get through the withholding food period..I had no idea it was going to bother me.. Where did yours sleep it off and how were your adult cats with the ones who had surgery?

I LOVE Apple pie..especially Dutch apple..with cinnamon whipped cream.(another one my daughter does well..yummy.)

Unlike the how-to published writers, I'm not getting paid by the word and don't pad the facts into obscurity.

It all depend on the dose of anesthesia and their reaction to it, but that's the general rule of thumb.

Denying them food shouldn't bother you; you're preserving their health and their very lives. To stay leader of the pride you have to act like one.

They seem fine now..and I realize the crowd in the kitchen got to me for a bit..It did not help that I was out feeding the raccoons. soon after..LOL
I like the vets at this hospital and trust they will do well..Little one will have a hernia fixed, too.They keep them there til late afternoon.

Pop tarts absolutely will not do!
