Here Here! The fortunate thing about all this is I think that at least people in our generation are quite wishy washy and are not completely set in their ideals - things change as you get older and settle down and then they find out that the govt. actually considers them rich and start taxing them more and if the economy goes even further down the tubes they will be clamoring for fiscally conservative principles and may even rethink their beliefs on “religious zealots” and “Palin’s stupidity.” I will just sit back and grin when this happens!

I constantly see on this site the degrading of young people such as myself as morons and idiots. Yet, if it were not for the supposed political genius of the last generations this country may have never seen such great things as the vietnam war, iraq war, and social security. It’s not our fault we were born into this mess. I think 36% of us being idiots is a lot better than the percentage for the rest of the demographic groups in this country.

Young people are morons - I would say even until about 32ish.

Bump that up to include people *at least* into their 50s.

My generation is full of the laziest, ridiculously complacent and selfish people that I have ever seen and been around.

That’s because your generation wasn’t around to witness their parents - that’s where they picked up most of the idiocy. Maybe your generation polished it a little brighter - but not so much that you’d notice.

As a 30 year old American, I hate the vast majority of people in my generation.

Yes, I hate them all for being unpatriotic, irreligious, immature, irresponsible, lazy, violent, stupid, drunk, high, perverted and shameless about it all.

I have very, very little in common with most of them.

That's a mighty powerful, and I think, insightful 2 cents. My 24 year old daughter must be your clone. As I tell her, prepare yourselves, you're the ones who will have to put it all back together sooner than you think.

All the best.

As a 36 yr. old, I couldn't agree with you more.

It is the whining, egomania, and arrogance that people carry on with that annoys me the most.

I work for a couple people a few years older than me and they believe every bit of enviro-wacko propaganda without question and these are technical types. I have long since given up on them and have been looking for somewhere else to go. Sooner or later I will.

I’m 30, but I have to say that I find ignorance and selfishness spread equally across all generations. There are plenty of 70 year old Dem voters selfishly protecting their Social Security, 45 year old NEA union morons, or 25 year old Fecebook-posting Obama lovers.

That’s a pretty good 2-cents. However, under the inflation we’ll be seeing with an 0bama economy, it’ll only be worth 1-cent in the near future. ;)

My three sons are in their early 20’s, and you are dead-on. Not that my kids are lazy, but they ARE clueless in many respects but sadly, you can’t learn about hard times unless you go through them yourself.

Keep yourself squared away educationally and financially and you’ll be able to weather this. Choose your friends carefully and marry a man that thinks as you do, and raise up a batch of Republican Babies, because we’re going to need them, desperately, in the future! :)

Thanksgiving day I invited a friend and her son and daughter over for dinner. Her teenage daughter (freshman in college) said she had voted for Obama, therefore starting a big discussion. Her defense of Obama was typical liberal BS.

She also told me I was wrong when I said America was founded on Judeo-Christian values. Yup, liberals really do re-write history to suit their beliefs. My son (freshman in college) said I was right. He was taught good conservative values.

The social security system is structurally worse off than the UAW pension system, but the dummies don’t know that the bailout in Detroit is to rob those working for less without pensions and with inferior health care to give opulent benefits for those 4.5 million people no longer working in UAW jobs. The UAW has at least learned that the 450,000 or so UAW working members cannot support the 10 out of 11 who are on the dole. But American kids won’t realize that as a large majority of them voted to reinstitute slavery of the economic varity in the United States.

>What, pray tell, is a “collective right”?

This?

“We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Your culture will adapt to service ours. Resistance is futile.

You will disarm your weapons, lower your shields, and surrender your ships. If you attempt to intervene, we will destroy you.”

Ah, Collective Rights. ;)

I don’t think they are as dumb as they are completely indoctrinated.

Consider what most of the kids listen to (at least up here) from the time they enter the public (read socialist) school system, then onto even more socialist high school, and then flaming left-wing colleges and universities. Add to this the constant drum-beat of the liberal (socialist) media and the complete buffoons in Hollywood, and it’s little wonder they spew out the same garbage.

I am amazed there are any conservatives at all among them. The only people teaching them any conservative principles would be their parents and relatives. Even at that, conservative parents still have to deprogram them of all of the nonsense they hear.

Getting some conservative teaching into the public school system would be a good place to start....but good luck with that.
