Good morning.

I hope I have all for our Thanksgiving day. It will be G, S and me. One would think, that would be easy. Each of us has our own Thanksgiving requests..food wise.

I feel like I'm cooking for hundreds. LOL

I wouldn't change it one bit.

It is good to be among friends. Bev sent this to me a few days ago. I've been tempted to do it, but it may totally upset the gullible in my family and spoil the meal for them.

One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store.

When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, and inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird.

With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed, "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird! " At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry.

It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!

GOOD MORNING LADY, ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA and yes, the weather is not cold, not hot, juuuuuuust right!

Tough getting my morning going today, out of sweet and low, used sugar and I am not so hot on sugar, well, depending on what kind I reckon (if you get my drift).

Just saw our President elect on TV, we are in for a long 4 years for sure. Why oh why have we been saddled with such a person.

Just wanted to get things going in my ‘abode’ and tell everyone hello's.
Toby

I’ve stopped watching the news and reading articles. I’m questioning as to why should I bother to care. In my lifetime there have been only three presidents of whom I’ve been proud. Two of them have turned out to be disappointments.

I refuse to turn on the tv before prime time. Just won’t do it unless there is a football game on.

Thanks for the pings to all the beautiful Thanksgiving decorations!!! I caught GWB pardoning the turkey this morning and all I could think was, I bet he is thinking he wishes he could get the heck out of dodge right along with that turkey! GWB has made some bonehead decisions the last 8 years, but I still pray for the man and am very grateful he was in charge on 9/11/01.

I'm putting the finishing touches on our big North Pole Village display while I listen to Rush. It takes up a big chunk of the living room but we love it! It is visible from the front window and many of our neighbors love to stop by with their kids to check it out.

Hope everyone here at AMERICA-The Right Way! has a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving!

When I cooked a turkey for the first time everything turned out okay. I even knew to take the giblets out of the main cavity before cooking. But I DIDN’T know to take the giblets out of the NECK cavity. I thought there was only one sack of giblets. Everyone enjoyed a good laugh.

The worst Thanksgiving meal I served was in Papua and the oven didn’t work correctly. The guests were assembled but the chicken was not done. We didn’t have a microwave either.

It didn’t kill us. Supper was delayed a bit.

Wonderful pic, Molly.

Just got home from the grocery store. I think I have everything I need for tomorrow's dinner. Hubby is about to leave for his last run for last minute stuff. Thank goodness he is cooking all of the "hard" stuff (turkey, gravy etc.)

Ev & Katie are here. I took them out for breakfast. They look very happy and content. They will have an early dinner with her family and then join us later on for ours. Em & Curt will also have to "juggle". They don't mind. Two good meals and the price is right.;-)

Almost have everything ready for tomorrow. Will just reheat most everything. Have to do the turkey and an apple pie still.
I’m needing a nap but will take a shower and get dressed first.
;o)

Wow. A nap sounds great.

Ev & Katie took Lucy (Katie's dog) to the dog park. Hubby is out shopping. I'm putting groceries away and watching The Thin Man.

Life is good.:)

What station is The Thin Man on... or is it a DVD?
