Change.com is changing. Now it says that it will "set a goal" instead of requiring. And, that people that do it will get a tax credit.
we need to capture these screenshots. There were a lot crazy ideas on the obama campaign site, especially during the primary. I expected to see them surface this fall, but no dice.
Do what?
I believe the offer was $4000 towards college. I’m still have college loans to pay off and it “sounds” good but..
(a) No kid is going to pass that up- so it is mandatory in a sense- its like a government job
(b) It’s more spending- and where do they get off calling it a tax credit? It’s another handout
(c) Colleges will just raise their tuition
Sorry, my original post is super vague.
I was referring to the text on the page in the url under the title: http://change.gov/americaserves & how they have already changed the speech about “REQUIRE”ing below to “Set a goal”.
The Obama Administration will call on Americans to serve in order to meet the nations challenges. President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps. Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year. Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.
Change.gov is changing
Then you say:
Change.com is changing.
Hmm. Did you know there is a difference?
Might you have provided a link?
And people who don't will get a tax penalty.
Screenshots, screenshots, screenshots.
... we need to make a note of this, they can be manipulated more than they want people to know.
Unbelievable.
We need to keep track of everything this snake does.
DOn’t be afraid to speak out in public, but never make it personal. Always question his current policies only.
Somebody should do it.
Claim the tax credit.
Get officially refused.
File a class action lawsuit against the Federal Government and Obama.
Take it to the Supreme Court.
We can subvert and resist these bastards from day one if we are clever and resilient enough. It will be a short two years (until we get majorities in the House and Senate).
I don’t have a screenshot, but I have the next best thing, I copied and pasted the paragraph on November 07, 2008 10:14:17 AM in a post.

Well he did promise change...
Swing districts need to be identified, and organized to counter the organization 0bama has. All these campaign zombies will turn their attention to Moderate Democrats who may not vote for his agenda. They’ll be storming his offices, storming town hall meetings, demanding they vote for the 0bama agenda.
We’re going to have to out organize this guy, or else we’re toast.
Nice catch!!
“And, that people that do it will get a tax credit.”
Faust wept.
