Barack Obama Supreme Court Appointee Wikipedia?
Wikipedia | 11/6/08 | Neverbluffer

I am really confused now. I just read an article about Cass Sunstein, a potential appointee to the Supreme Court by Barack Obama.

I looked him up on Wikipedia, and to my amazement, under his CAREER notations it states that he was nominated as White House Counsel by President Elect Obama on November 7, 2008.

November 7, 2008 is not until tommorrow!!!!!

How does wikipedia have this information already when it is only November 6.

Here is another creepy quote he probably wrote himself in the entry:

“Sunstein’s 2004 book, The Second Bill of Rights: FDR’s Unfinished Revolution and Why We Need It More than Ever, advocates the Second Bill of Rights proposed by Franklin D. Roosevelt. Among these rights are a right to an education, a right to a home, a right to health care, and a right to protection against monopolies; Sunstein argues that the Second Bill of Rights has had a large international impact and should be revived in the United States. His 2001 book, Republic.com, argued that the Internet may weaken democracy because it allows citizens to isolate themselves within groups that share their own views and experiences, and thus cut themselves off from any information that might challenge their beliefs, a phenomenon known as cyberbalkanization.”

More dang “positive rights.” Mr. Obama, don’t you get the irony and the HYPOCRISY — “positive rights” are SLAVERY for those compelled to serve up the “rights” to the recipients!

Good one!

Another Freeper describes BHO's reform as barrystroika after Gorbachev's failed attempts at reform, perestroika.

I thought liberals wanted everyone to conserve resources.

Has it occurred to this man how many more showers a day we would need to take if we were forced to read dim websites?

RE: "a right to an education, a right to a home. . . ."

I've read that these are "human rights" a phrase generally accepted to describe rights granted by government.

All I hear The U.N., Red China, our leftist pukes, our ruling class, et al talk about is "human rights."

I do not recall anyone other than American conservatives speaking of unalienable rights.

Time zones.

There are places in North America where the date changes before our own Eastern Time Zone— let alone the whole Eastern Hemisphere.

Sure, its Nov 7 1984. Just ask Orwell.

We may be reaching the point where we have to print hard copy. A reference site like Wikipedia that exists as electrons only is so mallable as to be a dream for a revisionist.

Maybe the next step is to outlaw printers because they use paper and that’s bad for the environment. 10 years from now we will be hiding clandestine HP’s in our basements and teaching each other how to refill ink cartridges using crushed mulberries.

Obamas’team knows how to use this technology to interact with the under 25 set. They used it to great advantage during the campaign. But you aint seen nuthin’ yet.

So correct.

“Unalienable rights” — basic Orthodox Americanism.

True, but anything put on the internet can be kept, forever, and once on the internet, is totally out of the control of whoever put it there. If you need an example of how this works, I can provide one for you, but it’s a bit long to type it out unless someone wants it.

Cass Sunstein is one who promotes the idea of a “Living Constitution”.

Whatever, the important thing here is that Sunstein is the guy who wants to shut down the internet because of too many voices and too many choices. Americans can't handle this much information, he says.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Australia has already set up an internet police for "pornography and pedophilia" in conjunction with . . . CHINA. How long before political sites are deemed "dangerous" to children?

now wikipedia had been scrubbed, and no mention of Sunstein nominated as white house counsel.

The other day, it showed the nomination on Nov.7, when it was only Nov 6 in most time zones around the world.

He apparently watches his own entry, He "corected a false report" on it himself per the record: "14:07, 7 November 2008 (hist) (diff) Cass Sunstein ‎(deleting false report)" (I did not look at the progression that closely, so anyone that is going to say anything about this issue elsewhere should examine it closely first and form their own opinion.)
