Thanks, Lady.
I grew up watching Roy Rogers movies. :)
Happy Birthday, Roy.
I am SO SORRY that Marissa had to hurt because of this, and I hope NEXT TIME, her candidate wins!!:^)
Personally, I am trying to stay numb.
(((Hugs)))
My daughter called me last night, after the results were in. She had had a panic attack. I tried to reassure her that it would serve no purpose to fret over something we cannot change. She has a doctor’s appointment tomorrow, as she cannot deal with this.
I tried to stay calm for her. (And for myself and my FRiends).
And a teenie weenie part of me wanted to hold my head up, and show strength in spite of defeat, for those lurking here, from gloating places.
Sorry for rambling - hope I made some sense out of all this.

I have to ask if she seriously had a panic attack: difficulty breathing, vertigo, sweating, shaking... any or all of these.
I keep something on hand for high anxiety verging on panic, shock and trauma. It is called Rescue Remedy and is a homeopathic preparation made from..... flowers!!
I carry it in my purse and used it several times the past 3 days.
You know what, I totally forgot about lurkers. HI, Lurkers!!! *Waving* :-)
I already had two half-donuts, one with sprinkles and the other a classic glazed, with fresh coffee. A co-worker brought these in, bless her.
(((Hugs)))
Just like we didn't know what was going to happen yesterday, we don't know what will come tomorrow.
It has become obvious this election was clearly racist. Blacks wanted a black president more than life itself and today they are happier than anyone could imagine. That could be a good thing for this country. Maybe blacks will finally realize that it's they who are far more racist than any whites and this assurance with improve their self esteem.
Maybe Barry Barack Hussein Soetoro Obama will realize the importance of being a good president to prove himself.
Imagine how Sarah feels and she looks and sound strong today.
Let's get er done.
Beautiful roses, Meg.
Yes, we may be battered but in tough times, we pick ourselves up and continue to fight for what we believe is right.
We need to look ahead to 2010 and 2012. We will help to strengthen the GOP.
Between church and us, Marissa had a tough time understanding how someone she thinks is mean could possibly be our next president.
She learned about Propositions 8 and 4 in church. She learned about spreading the wealth from us.
This morning, hubby told her that everything would be okay and she said, “But Grandpa, it’s for four years!”
When she is ready to study the Constitution, she will have a head start.
Yes Yorkie! We are strong and we will overcome this setback.
The young people will grow alot by living thru these trying times.
Hugs to you and your daughter.
Yes, all of the above plus two more: her heart pounded so hard and fast, it frightened her, and she thought her body was going to explode.
We didn’t have any doughnuts, so I had a candy bar. That helped me make it thru the morning.
Most of us I am sure are rather somber today & if like me, fearful for a LOT of things come Jan 20
I have been in prayer that O will surround him self with a cabinet that will offer some common sense in his ridiculously lefty platform. Pray is where we are now & that is actually a good place to be
Bible study tonight...tomorrow to Cleveland Art Museum for a special display called Artistic Majesty. This is also my first time there since the three year major renovation when it completely was closed and also
Amen, LadyJag.
Let’s Roll as we look toward a brighter future.
The Dr. can help her with a prescription, but she also needs behavioral modification.
I know from personal experience that a full-blown panic attack is a terrible thing, ended up in ER 3 times, went to numerous docs. Eventually, my body learned to respond differently, but I still get mild ones.
In the meantime... Rescue Remedy, a walk on the beach, mellow music, and “Let go, let God.”
gorgeous Meg

HUGS for Prissy Missy...I know it is hard for her..
My Dad used to tell me the Presidency is a great leveler..The reality of the job lessens the extremes of beliefs and goals. I pray so.... especially for this new President elect.
