LOL
Thanks, Yorkie.
Stay warm, GG.
I wish I could send you some California sunshine.
Great to see you today, Dolly.
You and the dogs take it easy on these bitterly cold days. We want you to heal so you can spend more time with us.
Love you slow snail. LOL
Sorry that I missed you this morning. Hope you come back again soon.
I was here and away very sporadically today. Trying to get everything ready for a short vacation and Thanksgiving.
Have a Wonderful Weekend and a Terrific Thanksgiving.
Thanks, Ladies! I could sure use some sunshine! Sun did come out late this afternoon, but in between clouds. Our snow was “hominy snow”—think grits. About the size of grits, too hard to be snow and too soft to be hail. LOL
Love the Duke and that poem. Voices catch my attention. Charles Kuralt, James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, Don Williams, Sean Connery.
Thanks for the YouTube link, Yorkie.
Sorry about your teeth. Mine are really sensitive so I sympathize. Hate dentists.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend, Kitty.
Sorry I didn’t get here when you were here this morning.
Tonight, I will be working at a school snack bar again. At Marissa’s school, they have movie night once a month. The PTA sets up a snack bar. No charge for the movie but we charge for the snacks ... chips, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, corn nuts, sodas, bottled water and candy bars.
Happy TGIF, LadyJ.
Hope your day was a fun one. Enjoy the weekend.
Your welcome and Thank you!
You are much too kind.
;o)
What do I love about AMERICA????
That is a great question, thank you. My heart swells with pride just thinking of how much I love my country.
First of all, it’s my Home Sweet Home. You bet. It is beautiful and majestic, sea to shining sea. Our people are honest, hard-working, generous, compassionate, fierce in battle yet kind to strangers, always ready to pitch in: our people are the BEST!! I love our food: fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, apple pie, homemade ice cream, hot steaming coffee, cold beer and on and on. I love our hot, carefree summers and our cold, cozy winters. I love our Christmases, with Santa Claus remembering every boy and girl, colored lights and mistletoe and caroling. I love our National Anthem, the Star Spangled Banner and tear up even typing about it. I love our men and women serving in the Armed Forces, past and present, Army, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard and Air Force. I love the freedom they have given us and continue to guarantee for us, the best quality of life ever enjoyed by human beings in all of history and all of the world. I love that we love ALMIGHTY GOD and we honor Him on our money and in our Pledge and on our historic buildings as well as in our Churches every Sunday. I love BASEBALL, America’s Game.... there’s nothing like a summer day watching baseball. I love the 4th of July, the parades and the picnics and red-white-and-blue everywhere, fireworks and John Philip Sousa marches. I love the Blue Angels, the Screaming Eagles, the Green Army, the Top Guns, the Rolling Thunder, the Ironhorse, Stormin’ Norman, King David and the Devil Dogs. I love the trains, carrying passengers and carrying freight, clickety clack riding the day and the night through free and open land. I love the native People, the Dine, who pray at dawn, who wear eagle feathers, who walk in beauty and who dance the Grass Dance and the Shawl dance to the communal drum and the wailing songs.
I love the Prairie in summer with heat lightning on the night horizon. I love the silence, the hush, at Grand Canyon. I love Big Sky and purple mountains, rushing rivers and coyote howl. I love the family pictures that remind me of people who walked this land long before me, and who handed it down with Freedom untarnished.
I love that AMERICA is a Light to the World, and PRAY we will continue to be as long as GOD grants life in this world.
Yes, I LOVE AMERICA.
I don’t recall seeing an email about wearing blue. I think I will continue to wear red.
Thanks for the heads-up, Dita.
Wishing you a Wonderful Weekend.
I agree, Dita.
There is so much to love and be thankful for when we try to express our love for America.
Thank you, God, for blessing America. Please continue to bless our country. Amen.
I can enjoy this each and everytime I hear and see it! Thank you, yorkie!
Thank you for reminding me of all the reasons why, I LOVE AMERICA too!
Thanks for the link, Luv.
