~Happy Weekend To Amy's Place~
Finding Everything in a Fall Moment
Before snow falls
I shall walk barefoot
upon natures pastel carpet
of fresh fallen autumn leaves
Just the right place will appear
to park my tired bones, and
soak in falls magic
hugging me tenderly
as only a grandmother can
And, before sun sets, just
beyond the faded old barn
I will smile, in warm adoration of life
And once the sun sets
and the moon rises full
I will say in complete satisfaction
I have truly lived

Your Children Will Ask
When your children say to you, What do you mean by this service? . . . you shall say, It is the Passover sacrifice of the Lord. Exodus 12:26-27
One of the most important events in Jewish history is the exodus, when God freed His people from the bondage of Egypt. Prior to leaving Egypt, the Israelites were commanded to eat a special meal called the Passover. As an act of judgment upon the Egyptians, God said that He would strike down every firstborn son, but He would
pass over the houses that had the blood of a lamb on the top and sides of the door frame (Ex. 12).
To commemorate this act of judgment and grace, Gods people would share in the Passover meal. God said that one day their children would ask: What do you mean by this? They were then responsible to retell the story of the exodus and Gods salvation. God did not want the story of His great salvation to get lost in one generation.
When our children ask us about our values, lifestyle, prayer in decision-making, Bible-reading, church attendance, and worship, we have a responsibility to answer them. We are followers of Jesus. We must retell the story of how He became our Passover Lamb. His blood is the marker over our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin but are free to serve the Eternal One of heaven.
What are you teaching the children?
How great, O God, Your acts of love!
Your saving deeds would proclaim
That generations yet to come
May set their hope in Your great name. D. De Haan

Today is my day to feel more rested. Otherwise it’s gloomy and wet and the power going out woke me. I’m on the laptop on the backup module wondering how low it is going to last.

I think I will feel more rested after I lay down a little while. This whole week has been so busy that I think my body is rebelling this morning......SO, maybe after I rest, I will be able to make it through the day a little better. I sure hope so anyway!
Hate losing the power! Its maddening sometimes. I continue switching to get the lights on....it happens to all of us at times.

Saying you don't look good in a hat is like saying you don't look good in shoes!
Wearing a hat versus not wearing a hat is the difference between looking adequate and looking your best. (Martha Sliter)
You can flirt with a fan in your hand. You can flirt holding a cigarette, too. But a woman can really flirt with a hat. (Dolores Foster)
I myself have 12 hats, and each one represents a different personality. Why just be yourself? (Margaret Atwood)
If a woman rebels against high heeled shoes, she should take care to do it in a very smart hat. (George Bernard Shaw)
So many hats and only one head!
Leave everyone wondering which is the more interesting piece of work...you or your hat.
I have a hat. It is graceful and feminine and has a wide brim with a red ribbon around the band. It gives me a certain dignity, as if I were attending a state funeral or something. People are generous in their compliments. Someday I may get up enough courage to wear it, instead of carrying it." From "Women Who Wear Hats Stand Heads Above the Rest" (by Irma Bombeck)

Beautiful! Thank you, Meg.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Marissa has a 12:00 dental appt; just for cleaning.
I will be gone most of the afternoon.
We hope to find her a dress for a Christmas Tea.
And of course, we need to have lunch.
She is looking forward to just the two of us doing something.
