I was AWOL all afternoon. Was in FREsno longer than I had anticipated. We went by Costco and ran into hubby’s cousin and his wife. Of course, we visited for awhile. :)

So, it’s “World Diabetes” day? I don’t have diabetes, but I fixed a little pot of soup tonight with these fresh veggies:

carrots
peas
zucchini (green and yellow)
onion
corn
cabbage
turnip
green beans
broccoli
cauliflower
tomatoes
potatoes
beef broth
and last but not least -
big chunks of the beef brisket I cooked all day Wednesday.

Made a little foccicia garlic bread to munch on, too.

With the wind howling tonight, and the smell of fall in the crisp autumn air - it was a perfect dinner.
