In a stunning revelation tonight, the OBN has learned that an audio tape, supposedly of an interview between Michelle Obama and the African Press International organization in Norway is a hoax.
In an interview with API's Chief Editor Korir, he explained that this hoax was requested by a member of the Obama campaign to keep his opposition distracted from several, high level meetings Obama was attending with Cuban President Rauel Castro.
Chief Editor Korir, however, has made it known that the discussions with the Obama camp, regarding this hoax, where recorded. In these recordings, an Obama spokesperson lays out specifically how they wanted this story to be created, and even made some derogatory comments about people of Alaskan descent.
API is currently under negotiations with Fox News, a subsidiary of NewsCorp, to play this tape on an episode of Hannity's America and Greta Wire.
Fox News has promised API $3 Million Dollars for exclusive rights to this tape. API is in the process of this transaction. Chief Editor Korir mentioned that there has only been a slight snag in the process as he paid Fox News the usual $10 Thousand Dollar transfer fee, but for some reason, he hasn't heard back. He is assuring us however, that the tape will air within 24 hours.
Watch for more breaking news on this story on the OBN.
Are you serious? ROFL!!!!!!!!!! It’s a joke...it’s a joke...it’s a joke....and a really good joke...in my humble (not laughing) opinion. ;)
I'm with you, I don't see how people can discount African Press International with such rock hard proof like that. I mean, look at it, there is photographic proof the recording exists.
One of the several big differences is that the Clinton shenanigans were at least quite plausible and even highly likely based upon his track record, whereas the idea that the wife of the candidate would call one of the most obscure overseas websites in the world to sound off in idiotic and damaging (to the campaign) ways while being recorded was always straining credulity. Sure, stranger things have happened, but there was never a thread of plausibility to the API story.
This is turning into an excellent Freep experiment into how many people reply to the headline alone!
easy folks....just read...then chuckle....and move on...
“Ad-Less Shrugged”
Ha! I love good PUNishment.
It’s true, I confess, I barely got past the headline and then I sounded off. Guilty as charged. I hope I’ve learned my lesson.......
Geraldo arrived in Norway with no camera crew, no luggage, and no return ticket.

Say it ain’t so Joe! You are Joe?...what am I saying of course, we are all Joe’s.
Truth is stranger than fact.
Okay you asked for it.
Zot meister: Wherever you are, here is a job for you.
I couldn't help myself
That’s the first step toward recovery my friend! Congratulations!
Jeffo,
Almost everyone here saw though the API story from day one. From the fact that ‘African Press International’ was a Wordpress Blog, to the fact that their articles read like 419 scams, to the fact they never kept a single release promise. The difference between this and Clinton is that Drudge who broke the story, had already established credibility. He also wasn’t the first to run with the story, mostly, he compiled stories from various sources.
We also have the history that we’ve been sent chasing imaginary rabbits all through out this campaign. One of Alinsky’s ‘rules for radicals’ is to keep your opponent busy chasing rumors.
Man, we’re gonna feel like dumbasses if there really IS a tape!
I have no problem raising my hand and saying, “I was wrong”, if there really is a tape.. I am not holding my breath about it.
Well you got me,,,it’s late. All i could think of was, “well, his proof that he’s not islamic is that he attended regularly at Wrights America hating church.”
To *my* simple mind that’s like saying “no officer, i can prove i wasn’t stealing the car,,i was robbing the bank at 3 o’clock”.
Best of all was the hilarious pic when the link is clicked. Thanks for a great laugh!
Happy Halloween to all!
Michelle Obama tape: The negotiations that led to API/ Fox News Network agreement Started in London, UK Fox N.N. Offices on orders from New York office
Posted by africanpress on November 1, 2008
Some readers have criticised the way we have handled Michelle Obama tape issue. We believe the criticism has come about because the readers have got no insight in what has been going on behind the scenes. Some people in Fox News Network were not happy with the negotiations because they felt the tape would hurt some peoples interest in political life.
Those who argued against the release were more concerned with the lives of people who left their jobs to support a particular candidate. The argument has been that these people left their jobs and if their candidate does not win, their their lives will be destroyed as well because they will have no jobs to return to.
The negotiation was initiated by Fox News Network not API. This point has to be understood and that means they are interested in doing the right thing.
API was contacted by Fox News Network the same day the story broke out on the 15th of October. Negotiations started the same day in the UK and a week later it moved to New York in order to streamline the facts that each party involved had raised.
The agreement on, and verification of Michelle Obama tape was concluded on the 28th October at 10.00 am (N.Y time), in Fox News Network Offices, 18th floor, located at 1211 Ave of the Americas in New York
More details to follow -
What is internet powerhouse Andy Martin’s take on this?
That’s old news, API hasn’t posted anything about their interview with OBN yet. The new tape, the one where the Obama worker gets them to do the hoax, is being negotiated with Fox now. Geraldo is on the scene in Norway, but because of a mix-up, he doesn’t have a camera crew. API is also not being too open about this yet because they still haven’t heard back from Fox about the money they spent for the transfer fee for the payment for the tape.
I’m sure we’ll hear more about this tomorrow.
