There is a world class remote control pilot named Bill Hempell that had a wing rip off his 40 percent full scale airplane and he manages to knife edge fly around the pattern and land it with minimal damage..and it IS REAL....the video used to be all over the place...

Fake, but there is a true story of an Israeli F-15 pilot who landed a his aircraft after a collision of some sort left only about 18” of the right wing outboard of the starboard engine housing. McDonnell Douglas engineers said that there was absolutely no way it should have been done.
