Mr. Bill was given to me by my fiance about 20 years ago. He's a black/grey tiger shorthair with a healthy weight of 12 pounds.
The past week was very bad for him and so I will take him to the vet this evening and say good-bye.
He was the first cat my wife and I shared together and he's been with us during out whole marriage. He lived a long and healthy life until the past month where things steadily went downhill, accelerating rapidly the past week.
He was named after the SNL character of old. Seemed I was always saying "Oh no, Mr. Bill!!!"
I feel your pain. My two cats lived to be 17 and 15, respectively. (Timothy Two-Tone & Sydney.) They died of natural causes (old age) at home within 3 weeks of each other.
We’ve also had to put down our two wonderful female Black Labs over the past two years, one to old age, one to cancer.
Losing pets is really tough, so here’s a cyber-hug for ya. ((Jay & Mrs. Jay))
But, now we have two ‘new to us’ adopted cats, our trusty Basset Hound, Rufus, and a new Yellow Lab, Miss Lucy.
Life goes on. :)
I’m so sorry. :(
I am sure he appreciated it.
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Safe journey Mr. Bill.
