I went to a rally for Senator Jeff Sessions - R, Alabama - today and he told us that tomorrow there would be a big fight in the Senate. He said that the R’s didn’t want this bailout and would fight it.

He said that there wasn’t any bill that anyone had seen and he wouldn’t vote on anything he hadn’t read. He also said that Senator McCain would have to read the bill before he voted because he was one of the ones that insisted on reading the bill before he voted.

Jeff Sessions is one of the good guys. Richard Shelby will do whatever he thinks is most expedient. Sometimes it is the right thing.

AIG had over $400 billion in these CDSs and miscaclulated on what the losses would be. And since AIG is a Dow component, it's failure was taking the stock market down and causing a run on banks and money markets...that's why they couldn't let AIG fail...;-))

The members in Congress are not in jail because they have been bought and paid for and will yield to their masters....money. Really, I have so little faith in the majority of our congresscritters, I put little past them, as long as their get their stipped.

I remember after clinton won the presidency, members of the Chinese government, chuckled, and said, among themselves, he was bought cheap. It seems foreign governments are willing to pay far more, but those of congresscritters who can be bought are bought for little money.

That is interesting Bit, I didn’t know that Ayers lived in NY. I knew he was a Chicagoian. You know when he an his mrs was given those rings made from a downed American aircraft, he should have stayed in VietNam, he would fit right in. But being the good communist he is, it was more important to teach young people the wonders of utopia, ie, communist russia, china, venezuala, where everyone gets to live in poverty, except the rulers.

I think you’re right about Ayers and nobama being friends for many years and yes you’re right about Ayers putting nobama in charge of CAC because they thought alike.

Yes, I’ve read nobama has written 2 books, both shortly after college and both about himself. These 2 books turned into the 2 we know about. And yes, I’ve read Ayers may have cleaned up both and made them into what they are today.
