Prayers continue for all in Ike's path.
Fox got the right.
As to the writing and grammar errors, it is a lack of professionalism. It is becoming more evident in more places than it was before. If any news and journalists are lurking, please watch your basic writing skills. The lack of good writing detracts from the quality of your report.
the = it.
I am not a professional writer.
That one is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
Saw where Obama's behavior at Ground Zero was absolutely atrocious on the anniversary of 9/11.
He threw a rose onto the bed of roses rather than placing it down thoughtfully like John McCain.
McCain also took time to shake hands with the firefighters and Port Authority. Obama couldn't be bothered.
This man/child is his own worst enemy.
Gotta head to work. Have a good day.
You have a good day, too.
I noticed that. Also, Mishelley couldn’t be bothered to show up. She claimed that she was at home with her daughter’s first WEEK of school, but that was false because the previous day she had been off campaigning in Indiana (and IIRC Ohio). Mishelley just didn’t want to be there.
Have a good day to you.
A lot has been made of the photograph for the Atlantic Monthly. If I’ve seen the correct photo, I think it makes McCain look authoritarian, strong and capable of leading. I don’t think it makes him look like a monster. I’ve seen a full-length photo which is less than good, but if it is the head shot, it is fine.
I just learned Atlantic Monthly didn’t use the unflattering photograph.
Exactly. I don't know whether to be glad or scared that we have a bank account at Bank of America.
Good morning, Prairie, are y’all traveling today?
Republican John McCain has experienced a surge of support among women in heavily Democratic New York state - where he has closed the gap with Barack Obama, new private polls show.
I caught this blurb from a news article on the main forum. Basically it is telling us that even New York is in play. I pray this trend continues.
Oh, no. We’re going to be right here in the hay field for the remainer of the week. The music show itself won’t start until Thursday.
The rest of our band made it down yesterday and it’s great to see them again. We had a slightly rusty jam session last night.
Good Morning. Is this Monday’s thread, or did I fall off the pinglist?
Gloomy and rainy here again today, but we didn’t get the massive rains they got NW of Chicago. Just a little more than 2 inches here.
I am going to drive to Iowa City today to pick up my tickets for the McPalin event on Thursday. I will have a couple of gc with me, so there will be no shopping along the way
Good morning. This week’s thread hasn’t been started yet.
ok, thanks. For a minute there I thought you guys were trying to ditch me.
Just got a call from lysie.........Molly has no power, and lysie’s computer is giving her fits.
If anyone would like to start a new thread for this week, go for it!
Molly and lysie........Hope you’re back soon!!
Bob Woodward just stated that his wife has threatened to shoot him if he writes a fifth book about President Bush.
Man! I am so conflicted on that one.
I’ll do it since Dog isn’t around.
Thanks, Jem!
