Good catch! These “newscrafters” are doing their best tricks but thank goodness some of us are on to them! I was talking to my dear 72 year old dad yesterday and he is just disgusted with the way they are trying to “frame” Sarah Palin. He liked what he saw and heard from her on announcement day in Dayton and is certain she is up to the job!

Yes to what Bev said. To add, tho, SD IS desert, with a lot of ocean-front. Right now, we have a water shortage, and are being told to stop watering so much, sip water from the toilets (JK), which is due to a water fight. We get our water from the Colorado river, and apparently have had more than our FAIR SHARE over the last few years, so now we’re being punished. There are endless spots on media about not washing our clothes with less than a full load, water no more than 3 days each week, yada, yada.

They have also diverted some of our water to stave off disaster for some little bitty minnow fish. Environmentalists.

And, the powers that be are trying to sell us on “toilet-to-tap” drinking water. Now doesn’t that just sound luscious?

At the same time, we’re being castigated for using so many bottles with water in them. Poor use of landfill.

So, give up the bottled Evian and drink tap water recycled from the toilet.

Embrace your rain water, people. It’s a mixed blessing, I know, esp when it’s delivered via a hurricane.

I knew the Gremlin would be on the list of the Worst 50, too -- the Gremlin was what I was searching for when I got the Worst 50 list in the first place (and if you look closely at the Carhenge pics, you will see both the Pacer and the Gremlin sitting on top of some of the columns)...;-))

Hi, FR has been pretty awful since about 1630 today. I can get through sometimes. Right now I’m watching Greta Susteren on Fox doing her show on Sarah Palin. It’s been good so far.

Roomey had a Datsun and it looked like it had brown measles, but it ran like a charm. It travelled all over Europe, ran up and down a the west coast from WA to TX about 3 times. It just never stopped running. One day, at the ranch I leaned against the fender and the reflector fell out. The he traded it in for a Ford pickup and that ran forever until some years later, it just quit and he sold it for junk. But that Datsun was a jem. So was the pickup. But that’s another story.
