Not a very pretty win, but my Dawgs beat SC. Woohoo!
Thanks for checking in with Jem, kassie. So glad to hear you all are okay. And, thank you, Jem for sharing kassie’s news!
Prayers continue.
Good Morning Everyone.
Hubby dumped 2 inches of rain out of the gauge yesterday. And it looks like we may get a bit of the outerbands of the remnants of Ike.
Some of my equilibrium has been restored....
LB, your home area got a lot of rain yesterday...are you there or in FL?
McCain/Palin coming to my neck of the woods this week...
Yes.....LOTS of rain. South Elgin has had sewer backups and major flooding. Still raining here..........
We’re high where we live, so all is okay.
Praying for good reports about kassie and Toby!

Oh! I like that. Thanks.
It is so much easier to celebrate a win than it is to mourn a loss.
Toby, please check in.
Really good links today, MP.
Did you enjoy your reunion? I bet you were the most handsome one there.
I just got a message from Kassie. She reports that she doesn’t have power restored yet. They may probably get it back today because homes one street over do have power. It is raining there now and the rain today is bringing them more water than Hurrican Ike did.
Well RATSO! My family set me straight last night.
Good morning ladies from the arid desert that is SD CA. What I wouldn’t give for some RAIN. But just a little, unlike the downpour of IKE.
I have FOX on this morning and see the damage and warnings. You know, I’ve heard so very little about the train collision. There just seems to be very little to report, except the # of injured/dead as they are still busy digging out. DH told me it was in the area of Chatsworth, which is in the San Fernando Valley, north of LA.
A freight train collided head-on with a passenger train. But I suppose you all know this....
She just sent an addendum: Katy has 7800 w/o power. She thanks for our prayers and sends wishes for a blessed day and greetings to all and sundry.
I cannot imagine the damage from that train collision. It must be absolutely awful.
I didn’t realize that SD was a desert. I thought it was on the coast and therefore must have a good supply of water. New concept for me!
