If you are in relatively good condition, keep your ears open and your mouth shut, you will do just fine.
I did BCT at Knox a little over 30 years ago. My Company's (B-13-4) motto was, "no mission too difficult, no sacrifice too great." It was also the motto at my first duty assignment...the Big Red One.

I’m using this enlistment to explore the chaplaincy and see if that is where God wants me. I am also thinking about traditional OCS as well.
But first things first, I have to survive BCT. LOL.

My son completed his BCT at Ft. Jackson in July. He’s at Ft. Sam Houston for Combat Medicine AIT.
As one of the commenters said, “Co-operate to graduate.”

My MOS is 56M, Chaplain's Assistant, so I guess I will be able
to change the "street" preacher moniker soon.
May Providence protect you and all you serve with.
My father almost ended up in your capacity when he "stood watch"
during the Cold War (that's how I term his drafting AFTER he
got married and was twice turned down by the US Military for
age, then for being flat-footed!).
He was called to meet with one of the chaplins on base (Ft. Bliss?)
because some clerical error had him down as a volunteer to be
the assistant for the base's rabbi.
My dad said he thanked the rabbi for the offer, but didn't think
he'd really fit in seeing how he was unchurched/nominal Christian
at the time.
Surely, one of those "humor in uniform" moments!
