Went down to Milwaukee yesterday with my boss and a couple of colleagues to see a Milwaukee Brewer game. The Brewers battled the San Diego Padres. It turned out to be a classic pitcher's duel between Sheets and Peevy. Brewers won the nail biter 1-0 in nine innings.
On our way down politics came up and they are supporting Obama. (One has great reservations about him.) They asked me why Palin was chosen, and I told them she has galvanized the conservative base more than expected.
Then came the obvious question: "But is she qualified?"
They got a polite earfull.
I saw those flags in the garbage after the DNC Convention on a video feed.

There's a fascinating story at newsobserver.com, Molly, snugs et al. (The site won't let me link it,so you have to actually go there). For instance, Queen Elizabeth II imports coal for her castles from it; it has gorgeous homes and welcomes folks to tour them; And its population is 400. The title of the article is "Tiny Town is home to startling history of affluence" (Lots of millionaires).
While you are at the above site, be sure to read about the intriguing book, "Sea of Greed", which details the events surrounding the capture of Noriego. The author, now a judge, played an early part in the ultimate capture. There are some interesting details, too, about other presently well-knowns linked to Noriega. It sounds like a book I may want to read, and I thought some of you might be interested too.

At any rate, if you cut and paste, you can read the Berg complaint whereby he states Obama was born in Kenya. Apparently, the airlines wouldn't allow the mother to fly because she was too close to her delivery date. As soon as Obama was born, she was on a plane to Hawaii....hence the "forged" Hawaiian birth certificate.
OH BOY! I have a running arguement going on with a “liberal friend”. I have listened to and read excerpts from Obama’s 2006 speech mocking some books of the Bible. My “friend” tells me it never happened and the U-tube thing is a cut and pasted thing. Any ideas for my arguement back :-)
