My daughter and son in law are just north of Houston ..My son in law had knee surgery this morning..They are not able to leave and come here..My daughter is chronically ill and very sensitive to heat..The power will go off for sure...
I am praying they will be safe and can get here later if the power goes ..when it is safe to drive...
We will get some of Ike but I am about 2 and 1/2 hours from Houston.

We're so far inland but still getting rain all this week and haven't seen the sun since the weekend.

My brother’s home is in Seabrook...right in the path. I got a call from him this evening, and he said it doesn’t look good and that they will probably get a storm surge that will flood their home. They are presently staying with their son north of Houston.
God be with ALL the people in the area that are in harm’s way! May He be with your family,too, Megs!
