I wear some high heels but the lower ‘high heels’. I’ve always loved shoes. No one loved them better than my mother. She was a dresser, I will have to say. She loved jewerlry and I am crazy for jewelry, real and costume....love it all and have kept it all. I have a couple of pieces from high school and thats the truth.

Everybody is gearing up for mums which are jsut starting to pop, and my first set of pansies, snapdragons, and dianthus came in last week. We got them—@ 2000—transplanted, finished up today. Should have another set coming in tom, and then either 2 or 3 more. It’s so hot here, sometimes the first set doesn’t fare well!
Haven’t been able to keep up with the thread—again—but I’ve enjoyed my pings! Y’all do such a great job! Thanks for the beauty.
I need it, as we all do, esp in an election year. I am up to my eyeballs in political skullduggery. Palin deems to be a ray of hope, but I can’t stand the sniping. I would never want to be in her shoes.

Good for you. I love Joshua too. Our Bible Study is tomorrow night, and we are studying the Revelation. Intense. Some of the ladies tried to opt out when we started studying it. Said it scared them. I pointed out that the third verse into the Book says, "blessed is he who reads aloud the prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and keep what is written therein." I reminded them that they surely didn't wish to miss their blessing.
Amy, that is just about the most beautiful flower arrangement I’ve ever seen. Wish I had it sitting in my living room.
Last year we studied Proverbs and a friend said to me on the first day, she didn’t care for Proverbs very much, “it’s too judgemental”, she said.
Well, we went through and at the end she was much more compliant to the teaching. Funny, I thought.
Because I taught Proverbs to our boys everyday, according to the date for several years until they graduated high school.
People are sometimes a tiny bit difficult concerning the Scriptures. ;-)
As I told Lori, that couple were seriously in love. I sometimes wish I had time to write our love story. It was a bit........unusual, and still is. (he has reason to be grumpy. He never feels good)

I knew that Ohio had been hit hard by Ike - he just wasn't content to mess with Texas and Louisiana - had to make his presence known - quite RUDELY! - up your way, and Missouri and other neighbors on his way up from Texas. One of my favorite seasons of the year is the beginning of Fall, but hate that some of the worst weather also comes with it.
