Pick Palin, take Mathews out in a straight jacket. It may rid us of the klintons for 12 years.

Amazing! All these posts and no one mentions Pawlenty. The error, at least to me, is everyone is trying to determine who will best help Senator McCain prevail.

The question should be the nature and decision pattern of Senator McCain.

Since I have previously posted on these for months, I won’t repeat, but, at this point in time, it is 80/20 Pawlenty.

How in the hell can anyone think that Palin is qualified to be COC is beyond me.

Well apparently half of the country thinks (atleast primarily) that Obama (WHO HAS LESS TIME IN OFFICE THAN PALIN) is qualified.

Is Cantor in the mix at 4-1 as well? If so the house cut is nearly 50%.

"This IS McCain "The Mavrick"

Wouldn't that be something....

Biden as VP candidate on both tickets. LoL

At least he could not lose.

I see the potential for a Dan Quayle redux with a newbie like Palin. McCain shouldn’t take that chance.

Do you remember when GWB invented the word "Misunderestimate"?

;-)

My point is, that Palin is likeable, women can identify with her, and with her being "new" on the scene, the whole mantra of 'Change' from Obama/Biden would seem even more surreal.

It would take a pair, for this to happen, but happily for us, McCain seems to be using them lately.

I’ve heard that argument and her husband, I believe, is a commercial fisherman. So, she is not qualified then...

I’ll sit here and wait for the incoming.

Even Republican women are disappointed that Hillary was beaten by someone far from qualified, IMHO. Okay, McCain will deal with Putin and clan—his forte. Sarah adds a more gentle but pragmatic face at a time we need it in uncertain times. McCain can stock the cabinet with brilliant econ types. This guff about plans to do this and that is baloney. No President follows those outlines in office.

You, me and MANY OTHERS! I can count 15 family and friends off the top of my head that would vote for him with her on the ticket!

"Biden as VP candidate on both tickets. LoL"

His ego is so big that he would declare that both candidates votes were for him so therefor he won.

“I agree with you about Palin. Two white guys on the ballot is old school. Republicans need to be first in line to have a female in the White House.”

A female if she’s qualified. I’m not sure that Palin or KBH would make me feel comfortable if anything happened to McCain and with his health issues - it’s a real possibility. We don’t have the likes of a Margaret Thatcher in the party - when we do, she’ll get my vote.

Except for Dubya, and surprisingly so, the Stupids have been known, in recent history at least, for, uhm, stupid, that is lame VP choices. Spiro Agnew? Gerry Ford? Dubya, Sr? I'm expecting similar.

As for the experience factor, who do we want, a professional politician with 40 years experience in the DC swamp? Hey, pick Ron Dellums! His mom has just kicked the bucket, you'll get a lotta sympathy vote! I want inexperienced Palin, I want an inexperienced state legislator to shake things up a bit! Inexperienced is just fine for the post of a federal funeral attendee. There are too many "experienced" politicians as it is!

And to add to your comment...Gov. Palin makes the 'change' of Obama bin Biden just a word on a cardboard sign. When push came to shove, Barry caved to an oldtime, inside the beltway player. JohnnyMc looked 'outside the box.'

I think Palin fits in well w/their ad campaigns...McCain's adverts have been 'edgy.' Not what you expect...a woman on his ticket follows that trend...

I'll be real happy with Cantor, Palin and the Gov from Minn...

I think that Romney is out and probably be Sec of Tres..

It is not going to be KBH, due to the fact she said no and no I don't think it is going to be Liberman..
