Ay, yi,yi!
At this point, the gestation period is still 10 days away, and unless the nurse was running a fever, there isn’t much chance of Mrs. Guy and Baby Guy getting the flu. (Trust me: I’m a mother!)
Newborns also have an immune system that won’t quit, especially if they are able to breast feed for at least the first two weeks.
Still, if you ever run into a sniffling nurse in ANY setting, ask these questions: Are you running a fever? Where is your mask? Follow it up with: I think we’ll be changing Providers.
If one works in a clinic, and HAS to be “ill,” one should wear a mask AND gloves and “observe universal precautions.”
Otherwise, the odds of spreading whatever is going around are increased. If you go into a clinc (say in a strange town, in an emergency) and you hear a nurse/PA or doctor coughing or sneezing, ask them to wear a mask and gloves before treating you, and to make sure that any tests that are ordered are done by techs who ALSO have a mask and gloves.
If more people did that, there would be less flu invading the country.
Gosh, fanfan, I am SO sorry! Whatever did you do? Down here we have this prohibition against cruel and unusual punishments.
Though it hasn't stopped them from putting the Cantbetrue News Network in all the airports.
Yup. The Demonrats and their puppet media have already fired just about every cannon they can train on her (and her family, leave no tern unstoned), the smoke's clearing and...she's still standing, unscratched and unscathed.
I wouldn't say *only* fault -- she made a mistake but is dealing with the result honorably, like a grownup. THAT's what frightens them even further. A BAD role model for the abortion industry and those who worship at its altar.
We're going to see this one come back whenever abstinence education comes up, sadly. Poor girl -- but the b*stards will be the libs and the press, not the baby.
Personally, I think the Dims made a hugh mistake by entering the race officially as early as they did. It has given the opposition (US!) time to gather ammo, and understand what the agenda is for the silly folks who think they can win by selling acreage in Okeefenokee Swamp.
Pogo could have won the Whitehouse quite handily, I think!
I suffered.
My eyes still hurt.
:-)
That is about the level of respect they deserve.
You never know. But I bet by now A CA Gal is ready for it to be over. Praying it all goes well.
I almost dropped my teeth. DP and Anoreth hadn’t caught it.
I’ve got the video feed from the convention up. Maybe someone will say something interesting. If it doesn’t take forever, I can see President and Mrs. Bush, at least.
Yahbut.
You know what?
I suspect Sarah and her family have already had a family council on the subjet of Mom as Veep, and I also suspect she had the nods of everyone who understood.
As for Alaska, they are proud of her and will be in her corner, no matter what the opposition throws at her and her family.
She would not have accepted the invitation, had she any doubts as to the steadfastness of her family.
If she can camp out in the wilds, knows how to shoot to kill, and still cuddle a baby, she’s OK in MY book!
*HUG*
Feel better?
LOL, good advice!
The sionnsareens got their food-server certificates this morning. One of the requirements is that if you're not well, DO NOT show up for work. A bit different from my employer's old PTO policy that lumped sick and vacation time into a single pool; encouraged folks to show up if they were "marginal." (Don't have that anymore, but the workload today encourages the same result...)
My opinion is just a bit lower, actually!
(Hi, HTB! *hug*)
Unfortunately for her, the baby was having a party in her tummy during the ultrasound.
Means he isn't coming real real soon. They say a baby settles down for a day or so first.
((Hugs Back))
I am back in school again so look for my attendance to be a bit spotty for a while.
Yup. Pogo was honest. "We have met the enemy and he is us."
R.I.P, Walt Kelly.
Luckily, I was never in food service. However, I think they are wise to defer showing up for work if they are “marginal.”
I loathe walking into a clinic, hearing someone sniff and announce very nasally that they are “suffering from allergies.” That’s my cue to say, “Can I reschedule my appointment for a day when the clinic isn’t SICK?”
Well, when Mrs. Guy says she has energy to burn, keep her home. OR ~~ take her for a fast motorcycle ride over a bumpy road! LOL!
Your son will arrive right on time! (Not YOUR time, but HIS time!)
(I’m so excited!
Yes, Thanks!
