lol! I can relate... I raised 3 kids along with my helpers: 4 sibling cats, a dog, a hamster, in a very small but very expensive SF Bay Area home;
A piano with trained pianists going 24-7; guitars, violins, martial arts; an extensive film library; 2 computers; talk radio 24-7 - and and I still love rock 'n roll.
And of course, you and I both homeschooled, so we had/have it all 24-7, 7 days a week.
My daughter, the married-with-children-one, calls me and I can hear the tic in her eye. And all I can do is laugh hysterically. Then she gets hysterically laughing; and that's our news to each other!

My mom says she can hear the “into the wine already” sound in my voice, along with faint traces of Philadelphia picked up from her.
We have guitars instead of piano (and banjo and mandolin and Latin percussion), a million science ficion shows on DVD (one which includes the impossibly-stunning James Morrison), and orchids. The orchids are silent :-). We only have talk radio on the weekends, when DP brings his Sirius receiver in from the truck.
I’ve always said that if I ever ran away from home, they should look for me in a religious order with a strict rule of silence!

Hour and a half. I’ll have to stay awake long enough to get Sally to bed. I’m sure she’ll be a wreck. DP said they were amusing themselves by riding the trams around, between waiting on overbooked flights.

When I flew to Pak, I had to spend 24 hours in Heathrow both ways.
It was TOUGH finding something to do, and not dying of boredom. Dang. I don’t envy them!
I hope Sally sleeps well in her own bed, tonight!
