President Bush tells Putin, The Cold War is over. The days of satellite states and spheres of influence are behind us.
Ah!! True love! A Poulsbo, WA woman was jailed after being accused of beating up her fiance at their prenuptial party because her 12 year old son saw him kissing another woman.
Michael Phelps ties Mark Spitz with seven gold medals in swimming. Saturday the 100 meters butterfly was eeked out by Phelps.
{cough cough} thread...is....dying.....
Today, it hurts to bend over to pick up lint off the floor. Bah! Getting old is NOT for sissies.

LOL
Gosh, just think of the advantages of having a 'younger' woman around the house!!
Those kids, doing that stuff. The Chinese guys on the horse, the kids on the rings and bars (I don't believe for a minute that they are over 14, regardless of "evidence" produced by the chicoms). Phelps in the water. That's amazing.
NPR had a soundbite from some liberal (go figure) saying that Phelps was most likely to go back to being the mayor of Atlantis.
I laughed my teef out.
And as good as the kids are, it's heartening to see 40+ folks doing well at their sport.

My 9 y.o. grandson (the redneck ‘in training’) was disappointed last weekend that they didn’t show the shooting competition on TV.
He thought it was stunning news when I told him lots of people would probably frown on the shooting competition, and would complain to the network if it was aired.
He has joined a 4-H group that specializes in shooting competitively.
My Dad has been gone for about 55 years. He was a competitive Trap Shooter. I know he’s sitting on a cloud grinning from ear to ear.
Hello, hello! I’m busy stitching a skirt. But someone had turned up the air-con and I was sweating. That is time for a break.
....and tomorrow he gets to throw grenades around. So life is good.
Mozie, has it right. Nothing like throwin grenades in a Sunday afternoon. How’s his throwing arm?
Nite All, till tomorrow. Just got back from the Outback. Too much on the plate, too much in the tummy, but it was goooooood. Sleep well my friends.
Supper tonight, for the epicurious? PB&J sammitch, and a tall, cold glass of milk. Because even mean old chefs/sergeants miss momma sometimes.

That is one of my favorite (and quickest) lunches.
Good Morning. I’m listening to the replay of the MAC Questioning at Saddleback Church.
I’m hearing even more good stuff the second time around.
Oh-—I forgot about that-—how’d did both of them do. DId they bow to the Messiah?
I have never seen Mac do better. He was more than just ‘at the top of his game’. It was incredible.
I missed the Obama portion due to a visit to the Care Center to see my MIL. I tried to watch the rerun but fell asleep. So I cannot give a personal opinion, but from what I’m reading and hearing (F&F is discussing now) Obama was not as focused as Mac.
JT is off at Ft. Sill and planning to do some of that, too. He’s still a specialist but we’re expecting that to change sometime soon.
I didn’t pay any attention. I was watching the US Men’s Swim Team get a gold in the 100-meter relay and Mike Phelps win an EIGHTH GOLD MEDAL. Wow!
The women’s marathon was impressive too. Romanian runner won it and the rest weren’t even close. But the silver went to a Kenyan woman and the Chinese came in third and fourth.
Those eggs are exactly the way I like ‘em.
Thanks.
I missed it, so I appreciate your updating this.
