What are you packing today? Let's see them.
Today, I am carrying a Kahr PM9 in 9mm in a Galco Summer Special with a 6 round reload.

This set up is light, wholly concealable and easy to wear all day. The caliber is more than adequate for defensive purposes. Using the 124 gr Hyda-Shoks it is accurate and reliable.

Is that pistol DAO?
If so, not to my taste:)
I tend toward the Sig P232...it's only .380, but dealy accurate and weighs only about 14oz empty.

I'm anxiously awaiting the return of my Sig P220 Equinox. It's on the UPS truck for delivery and I have an appointment this afternoon. . . hopefully it all works out.
It's coming back from the Sig custom shop where I had the SRT installed and a trigger action job performed.
Of course, I can't carry since I live in the People's Republic of Kalifornia, but I can dream.

Neat gun.
Concerns about the type of propellant used-all BP and most BP substitutes are hygroscopic-they absorb water, same for percussion caps.
A .451 ball in front of 30 grains of BP or pyrodex etc does quite well-about 800fs and 140 grains of lead. About as effective as a solid lead 158grn 38 special (4inch), only in a four pound hog leg....

My boss is a solid conservative. He gets a bunch of range time, at my house. I have a private pistol, 300yd rifle, and skeet/clays range.

For everyday walks around the yard, (I live in a very rural area and have around 7 acres of yard which is surrounded by thousands of acres of forest and field) I usually stick a very old Unique model L .22 LR in my pocket. It has been 100% reliable which is fairly unusual in a .22 pocket pistol and is also accurate.
For packing on a casual basis it is usually an old Beretta model 51 Brigadier. This old 9mm is much flatter than the alter model 92 but only has an 8 round magazine. If I think there might be reason to be careful which is rare, I carry a Browning Hi-power.
Sometimes I switch off the Unique model L for a Hungarian copy of the Watlther PP. I have them in both .22 LR and .380. I really like these Hungarian guns. In my experience, they are just as accurate as the Walthers and even more reliable. The reason I usually carry the old single action Unique is because it is lighter and has just as long a barrel.

“I generally go with a leather IWB holster on top of a tucked-in tee-shirt with an untucked Hawaiian or camp shirt as a cover.”
Same here. A small enough gun and a good holster with a belt while wearing shorts works just fine. My current combo for that is a Kimber Ultra Carry 1911 and the Galco SkyOps holster. They work great for ultra concealment and comfort.
