One of my three cats was originally owned by a young man. He allegedly had to give her up for rescue when he acquired a human girlfriend who was allergic to the cat.

However, the rescue people thought the girlfriend was probably also jealous of the cat.

I think that the cat might have possibly peed on the girlfriend's belongings, as she has turned out to be something of a "pisser" due to territoriality... and she also hates my other two cats.

The cat actually loves people, but just doesn't get along with other cats. I'd give her away if it weren't really difficult to re-home senior cats. She's now 11 years old.

Turns out that all three cats are alpha females! LOL.
