Recent pictures from Okmok. Nice of the volcano to erupt in the summer when it's sometimes visible!
July 30. Shawn Dahle, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Marine Mammal Lab
August 2: Janet Schaefer, Alaska Volcano Observatory / Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys.
August 3: Jessica Larsen, Alaska Volcano Observatory / University of Alaska Fairbanks, Geophysical Institute.

Volcanoes don’t release a lot of CO2. Mainly steam, SO2, and ash, with a little bit of acids.
Pretty cool.

Well, you answered my question right away. Nice pictures. Thanks.
Awesome pictures of the volcano. Also, that crystal is gorgeous. Thanks for posting them. :o)
