The Dragonflies'Lair ~ Thread LV ~ Anniversary Thread
Poets of the Lair | August 1, 2008 | Soaring Feather

My Dragonfly And Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Prepare to be trampled: Twelve-day-old Zuri is hot on the trail of Willie Theison, elephant manager at the Pittsburgh Zoo.

Under the new moon
A flute, a long empty road
Winter hills wind on

“Wonder what an elephant goose would be like.”

Not sure, but you could cook up Christmas dinner for the whole village I think!

An elephant goose would attract the whole village but I don't think they'd want to eat it.

Oh well, such is life. Other then that, I’m working on book 35, a murder mystery based around here in Wayzata Minnesotan on the north shore of Lake Minnetonka. (More nose in the air money types living around here then you can believe!)

I’m looking at a program to do text-to-speech and found one that has fairly ‘human’ sounding voices for around $100 bucks. I intend to convert all my books to MP3 files for the troops, bun them on CD so they can down load them to MP3 players or listen on CD players and computers. Ought to be a fun project. A lot of folks like ‘audio-books’ and I like the challenge of pulling it off.
