Nan was the one who 'gave' me the graphic for today's opening a long time ago - I knew I'd be using it somehow, someday, because those hands have so much story in them. Do you remember them, Nan?

Meg, thank you for the beautiful words, this morning. And your picture looks very familiar - like some red rocks I see every day. With the cloud formations and the sun’s position, they take on a different color and brilliance every moment. Breathtaking, always.

Thank you, nw_arizona_granny. I'm filling in as a substitute hostess to Amy's Poetry & Potpourri while Amy is on vacation, and one of the things we do here every day is to post birthdays of interest or 'holidays' to celebrate each day. Some of the holidays are sorta silly - like "#2 Pencil Day?!" - but they do make for interesting conversation. :)
