Thanks, Billie, for sharing more Taylor Hicks with us. I had not heard "Son of a Carpenter" before. Thanks also for opening the doors so beautifully, once again.
Here is my contribution for this glorious Sunday morning...
Nan was the one who 'gave' me the graphic for today's opening a long time ago - I knew I'd be using it somehow, someday, because those hands have so much story in them. Do you remember them, Nan?
This church reminds me of the first Methodist Church we attended when I was very, very young...It did not have this beautiful setting, however..Lovely!
LOL. I was surfing to catch up, laughing at jaycee’s blue cheese on watermelon; delighting in all the plans for banana split pies, and scrolled by that picture thinking; that looks just like my church. It sure is a pretty little church isn’t it? Our missionary from China and his wife were there this morning to report on their work. It was a very meaningful service. He is the younger brother to one of our beloved members who passed away. I’ll have to relate later how they are able to witness to the Chinese without being jailed.
Such a sweet little church. It reminds me of the little churches here in NH. I have quite a few I’ve taken photos of in the last years, but going through my files today would be too much for me. I’m all pooped out from a family cookout yesterday, and not sleeping all night.
Over-tired, or full moon? Maybe a combo of both. Right now I’m surviving on two cups of coffee. Heaven help me when that wears off...sigh.
