Update on “Lori”... August 13 2008

I just spoke with Jon on the phone (he was at the hospital)... The doctors were able to get 80% of one of the blood clots and circulation seems to be improving on her right leg. The doctors are afraid to mess with the other blood clot as it may cause her to have an embulisim (sp) they are hoping it will dissolve on its own. They are going to do another angiogram tomorrow and see what more needs to be done and will know more about what they need to do as far as amputating... it could just be her toe tips, half her foot, or whole foot, and worse case scenario they would amputate just below the knee.I have been praying that with the improved circulation, that surgery will be minimal.
Other than that she is stable and alert (well as alert as she can be) But she knows when Jon is there and seems to understand what he is saying to her, she just cant talk because she has on a trach collar, but is breathing on her own. She is back in ICU for the next few days. I will let you all know more tomorrow.
Please keep praying for my little sister. The power of Prayer never ceases to amaze me. Thank you all for the support you have given me and my family, its means so much. More tomorrow. {{{{Hugs to everyone one you}}}}
In Faith
