Her dedication, her strength of character, her perserverance, her knowledge, her lust of life, her belief in herself; to attain and obtain something she believed in, makes her a heroine in the eyes of so many, including me.

Playing Dress-Up
You dont have to dress up, in your finest bit of cloth,
We wouldnt care if you came by, in cast-offs from a moth,
Were always glad to see you, no matter how youre dressed,
Just tell us what you meant to wear, and well assume the rest.
So if some day your wardrobe is going to the dogs,
Just keep in mind we do not care, what you choose as your togs,
As long as you are seemly, we wont call the constable,
Who knows, we might just make, all clothing optional.

How cute!!!
Good evening, Meg. Thank you for that darling dressed up kitty.
I’m posting early because I will be taking Marissa to a swim park tomorrow. I’m not sure how long we will be gone but I think it will be most of the day.
I guess I will get to rest when school starts. LOL

You are such a good gramma - always there for Marissa.
Perhaps it is time to be there for gramma?
Time for a full massage? (Let a professional work those kinks out).
Or how about a facial? (You know - the cucumbers and mud packs or wraps........)
A foot rubbing pedicure? You could choose a pretty color...
Or maybe a trip to the salon for a new hair-do? A stylish cut and color always gives a lift.....
But, then, my favorite is a bubble bath, with candles (no lights) and some good classical music playing, while you relax, without a care or worry.......
((((Amy))))

Wheelchair Ride
You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. Psalm 59:16
Ben Carpenter has muscular dystrophy and gets around in an electric wheelchair. One day as he was crossing an intersection, the light changed and a semi-truck caught the handles of Bens wheelchair in its grille. Unaware, the driver started down the road, and before long Ben was being pushed along at 50 miles per hour. Soon the rubber on the wheelchairs tires began to burn off.
Passersby saw the bizarre sight and phoned 911 to inform the police. When the truck driver pulled over, he was astonished to see what was attached to his trucks grille. Ben had a big scare but escaped without injury.
Sometimes we may feel as if our lives have been hijacked by unexpected circumstances. When David was invited to King Sauls court, he soothed the kings nerves by playing on his lyre. Then, unpredictably, the jealous king threw a spear at him. David found himself caught in a dangerous drama of pursuit in which King Saul tried to take his life. Yet David looked to God for immediate protection, and he ultimately received deliverance. Because of this experience he wrote of the faithfulness of God: You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble (Ps. 59:16).
No matter what our trouble, God is there.
I never walk alone, Christ walks beside me,
He is the dearest Friend Ive ever known;
With such a Friend to comfort and to guide me,
I never, no, I never walk alone. Ackley
When troubles call on you, call on God.

;o)
Thank you, jaycee..Hope yours goes well..We got no rain and we are in for triple digit temps for awhile.
I had to get out the vaseline for the hummingbird feeder hanger..I saw my first big ant on the feeder since spring.
At least the feeder wasn’t full of ants running all over the sink while I took it apart to wash as it was last ant attack.
I have loved having the hummingbirds this year and sure hope I can keep them til fall.
