Some Martian dirt has the same basic chemistry as garden soil, a new analysis from the Phoenix lander suggests. The find widens the range of organisms that might be able to live on Mars.
Although the analysis is not yet complete, the lander has already found trace levels of nutrients like magnesium, sodium, potassium and chloride. Although these ingredients were known to exist in Martian soil, until now no one was sure whether they would be soluble in water and thus potentially available for life.

You would need to build a massive magnet that could deflect the solar winds. I am no expert on this, most of what I know is what I learned from the Science Channel.

There is debate as to whether or not a magnetic field is needed - Venus has an atmosphere 95 times the density of earth, and no magnetic field at all.

Al Gore should do a 180 and actively promote any and all means of introducing greenhouse gasses to Mars, perhaps as soon as a decade colonists can begin terraforming.

I think I heard somewhere that Sulfate aerosols in Venus’s atmosphere is the reason why Venus’s atmosphere still exists.

Trees can’t grow there without at least a 100mb atmosphere and temperatures warm enough for growth.

So am I to conclude that Democrats are being grown on Mars?

I think it's obvious. We need cheap gasoline not ice from Mars. Use the Mars money and all of congress’ retirement money to subsidize lower fuel prices. IMHO that's my point.

You really sound like lib when you ask the Government “subsidize” low gas prices.. The key to low gas to drill here drill now.. No more fraking subsidizing..
