Oh!! I am healed!!! Hehe.
I think Hawaiian BBQ is on the sweet side but that is okay with me... lotsa pineapple, you know.:o)
To: BIGLOOK
I heard that song on TV a long time ago, his Over the Rainbow. But, try as might, couldn’t find out who sang it or anything.
One day, later, a friend drove me home from church and she said, “I hope you don’t mind Hawaiian music; I really love this.”
It was IZ!!! I couldn’t thank her enough, went out and bought the CD. It’s all about the LOVE.

That ain't Hawaiian then. Kalua pig is flavored with hardwood smoke, sea salt and a touch of banana leaf. Lomi Lomi Salmon is smoked salmon and salt and onion and tomato all mixed together and served as a salad. Poi (day old poi, slightly on the sour side) on the side.
Lau Lau is salt butterfish, pig and kalo (Taro) leaf wrapped in Ti leaves and then steamed.....salty and slightly bitter.
Dessert is the only slightly sweet thing; Haupia, which is a coconut custard....with little sugar.
Malahinis go to luaus and the locals apply generous amounts of Mai Tais to lessen the shock to their palates.

Well to start with “Hau oli la hanau” simply means Happy Birthday.

Mai Tais will lessen a lot of things, huh?
Well, it all sounds good.
I remember that line from the Hukilau song, “... where the lau lau is the kau kau at the old luau...:o)”
To: fish hawk; JustAmy
Right, Fish Hawk......but is it really King Kam's Birthday? Never quite figured that one out.
Amy, the rest just means 'fondest regards'. Or something like that.

Its Elementary!
Known to God from eternity are all His works. Acts 15:18
On a recent trip to London, we exited the Baker Street underground station where we were greeted by a life-size statue of legendary detective Sherlock Holmes. Created by novelist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Holmes was an investigative genius who could routinely assess seemingly random clues and solve the mystery.
Baffled by Holmes uncanny brilliance, his sidekick, Dr. Watson, would ask for an explanationto which Holmes would glibly respond, Elementary! and then proceed to unfold the solution.
If only life operated that way. So often, we face events and circumstances that are far more baffling than a Sherlock Holmes mystery. We struggle to figure life out, but we always seem to come up short.
In times like these, its comforting to know that we have a God who doesnt need to assess the situationHe already knows everything perfectly well. In Acts 15:18 we read, Known to God from eternity are all His works. He never has to wonder or resort to inductive reasoning.
Despite our finiteness, our lives rest in the hands of the One who knows all the whats, whys, and whens well ever face. As we trust in Him, Hell guide us in the path He desires us to takeand His way is never wrong.
God is the One who sees the whole,
His knowledge is complete;
We see but portions of the truth
As lines that never meet. D. De Haan

Patience
They join me in the cold duck blind,
Or maybe in my boat.
They watch the sky so patiently,
Or watch the decoys float.
They sit so still and quietly,
As if theyre made of stone.
They are my buddies and my friends,
I never feel alone.
They look at me, I fire the shot,
They wait for my command.
The chosen one dives in to fetch,
Returns it to my hand.
They then resume their patient wait,
Each hoping for a turn.
They like this more than even I,
So much from them, I learn.
