The strawberry grows underneath the nettle,
And wholesome berries thrive and ripen best
Neighbored by fruit of baser quality.
- William Shakespeare -
Doubtless God could have made a better berry (than the strawberry),
but doubtless God never did
- William Allen Butler -
"I think they should put a warning label on strawberries:
'Caution: tastes nothing like a strawberry milkshake'."
Ryan Kaplan -
"We are bound by a small, sometimes magical fruit called the strawberry.
This fruit has the power to make tears dry up,
make friends with enemies, make sick people feel better,
make the elderly feel younger by bringing back pleasant memories of days gone by,
make acquaintances of strangers,
and above all make little children smile.
What other fruit has that power?"
- Marvin Brown -

Good afternoon, Billie. These kids are sweet. I was walking through the store the other day and little girl picked up a small U.S. flag, was waving it and said, Mommy, Mommy.... I hope Mommy bought it for her:) Thanks, dita. I hope Mommy bought her the flag, too. :)

I loved your picture, Dave - and how cute your daughters added the streamers, cans and sign to your ‘getaway car’! That you have a warm, fun family is obvious!

The poppies are absolutely gorgeous, and the blue flowers behind them look like the sea, or ocean. Thank you both for the DDay post. A sad day to remember for sure.

Thank you for the Duomo Di Milano presentation! The pictures show incredible architecture, massive masonry work, great artistic talent, and hundreds of years of determination and dedication.
The music was beautiful, too, as it came through in stereo on my headset. Muchas gracious, senor Cardi!

May God Bless you and the strong, lovely lady you have spent your life with. We pray that you and your wife have as much peace as possible.
We always think our lives ‘were hard’ or ‘are hard’ until we share other’s experiences.
My prayers will be with you both.
