I love that "How many dogs does it take to change a light bulb". I have read it many times over the years but I still get a kick out of it - every time. The attitudes of the different breeds are so right on. I remember my wonderful Yellow Lab, so eager to do ANYTHING to help - if he could have changed light bulbs and rewired the house
and the neighbor's, he would have - with a grin!
Hope your day is perfect!

LOL! Lori still had it and sent to me in FR mail - she wasn't sure if it was the one I was thinking of. As it turns out, I didn't remember it "exactly" as I thought I did. That was one of ST.LOUIE1's best and funniest creations! He made so many good ones, but that one has to be up at the top of the list. Seeing that graphic reminds me of so many good times at the Finest. :-)

Oh, how very, very cute! I want that! :-)
It's great to see you too, yorkie, especially after that harrowing close call you had the other day!! So glad to know that you are okay.

Thanks Dolly for you post. I have made a PPS of that evening at the beach but it is rather long like 15megs with 99 pics so I am debating whether to post it or not.

S.A.N.D. ... Summertime, and the living is ... sandy.
Sand gets in the carpet,
Sand gets in your shoes.
Fight to keep the sand out,
I guarantee youll lose.
The toddlers in the sandbox,
Teenagers at the beach,
It even gets down in my shorts,
Where its rude to even reach.
Where does all the sand come from?
How did we get so much?
It is a longish story,
But it has a pleasant touch.
Find a grain of sand somewhere,
You neednt look too far.
There may be some left in your shoe,
Theres more out by the car.
Hold that little grain of sand,
Where you can see it close.
Im going to explain exactly,
How we got this healthy dose.
Youll see it sparkle as it turns,
Reflecting gleams of light,
But theres a lighter side as well,
If youll hear my fancy flight.
Each single grain of sand is more.
Its silicon dioxide, Si and then two Os,
Three million billion molecules,
And heres what they compose.
The silicon has fourteen parts,
That are quite positive,
Theyre mated up with neutral ones,
Which has some peace to give.
Twenty-eight bits of whichness,
All mixed up in a what,
And circled round with wonderment,
Thats tied up in a knot.
The Os that hang around it,
Are not just airy moons,
Each has eight bits of fire within,
And eight water balloons.
Sixteen pieces more then,
Of whatness in a where.
And not just in the sand but its,
One fifth of all our air.
And out there in the water,
Nine-tenths of all of that,
Though you may get it in your nose,
Its not for sneezing at.
Every one of these small things,
Was made so long ago,
We think they are forever,
But I must tell you no.
God put these things together,
A blessing is in each.
If you want to count your blessings,
You can start down at the beach.

How about those Diamond Dogs, huh??? Was that a great game yesterday, or what? They are FANTASTIC!!! I just have a feeling that they are going to take this NC2A (?) Championship today. Are you going to the celebration when they come home, Amy? Wish we could be there, and we aren’t even baseball fans. LOL

The music to the Paintings of the Middle Ages is:
The Monastery of La Rábida
Christopher Columbus stayed at the monastery two years before his famous first voyage, after learning that King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella had rejected his request for outfitting an expedition in search of the Indies. With the intervention of the prior of La Rábida and the confessor to Isabella, Francisco Jiménez de Cisneros, he was able to have his proposal heard.

Oh, thank you for that link! I just have to have it for my desk! Well, if it is small....if it is large, it will go in my garden. :-)
And they even spelled MamaBear the way I spell it.

Now, to celebrate Dolly's continuance, Yorkie's suvival, GeeBee's Coastie son homecoming and all other of our FRiends' blessings Yes, we have so much to celebrate and be thankful for, especially Yorkie making it through her close call! And, poor Dolly. I am happy that she didn't have to go to court yesterday, but the case continues to hang over her head. :-(
I didn't know about GeeBee's son coming home. That is great news!
Hugs to all. I've been away from FR for awhile. I know I can't reply to all the pings that I've missed, but want to make sure that get some of them answered.
Hope all is well in Dita's world. We've got lots of smoke in the air up here from the fires. I can't smell it, but I can see a brownish haze hanging over the valley and breathing is difficult outside. But today is not as bad as yesterday. How are you doing down there?

You’re welcome, Dolly.
Awhile back, I followed Cardhu’s link for installing PowerPoint and it crashed my computer (PC) worse than anything ever had. That scared me and I don’t want to try again.
I don’t really need PowerPoint at home and not being able to view means less time spent on computer. That’s a good thing, so I am content this way.

That is an amazing photo. What a magnificent animal, and so full of zest. I admire German shepherds.
To: OESY
You were supportive. It struck me so cute, tickled me.
I thought my first response might have sounded sarcastic,
so tried to fix it.
I think I am going to get very tense as we get near to the actual ..... number.:o)

So good to see you, Mama Bear. I hope you were on a nice trip or something.
Things are good here. The heat wave calmed down and we have a warm, hazy day. However, the ants got riled up and I had to take down the hummingbird feeder. Am also battling them in kitchen and bathroom. They're making me be squeaky clean. (Don't know whether to put a happy or frowny face here.)
I didn't know your area is affected by fires also... don't watch news much as I'm avoiding the political scene. Take care and I hope all those fires are out soon.
To: La Enchiladita
I know what you mean about ants, ‘Dita. Last year, I looked at the hummingbird feeder and it was swarming with those great big brownish red ants! I called an exterminator, and he told me that even one drop of syrup on the ground will tell them that there is FUD above it. They climb the trunk of the tree (or up the side of the house) and drop down onto the feeder.)
He covered the ground around the tree with poison - and then made a ring around the trunk with the same. I never had that problem again.
Now, I have to figure out how to deal with the wasps that are building a mud hive right on my front porch!

All I can say is WOW. These kids are giving Fresno reason to celebrate .... win or lose tonight.
Don't know whether you get the Bee or not, but I had to read the sports page this morning BEFORE coming online. : )
Here is one link ....
Fresno Bee Front page.
Marissa started swim lessons this week so we won't make it to the party. I didn't get to see the game yesterday but did listen to parts of it. I wish we could take Marissa so she could experience the excitement.
I didn't really follow the baseball team .... I usually follow football and basketball. A few years ago we had season tickets for the baseball games. MrJust and JustJr used their tickets but I only made it to a couple of games a year
On the way home, I would say "YES!!" with each FSU hit or a Georgia out. With every "YES!". Marissa would ask, "what happened, did the Bulldogs win?"
