Feet up..birds fed, supper eaten..Ready to relax!
Lots of good posts and poetry to read and enjoy today!
Yes .... We wonder what has happened to the young people today!!
Whatever happened to children being children?
Hope you are able to sneak in again.
In fact .... sneak in often. :- )
Lovely!
My birds will be fed in the morning. Have much waiting in the morning.
I can picture you now in that bed with that laptop, all comfy and cozy! Maybe I should consider getting a new computer, huh? Maybe a laptop...hmmmm~~~
Father O'Mally has been preaching at his church in Ireland for so long, that he decides to take a vacation. He has never been married and he is curious as to what an American endures in everyday life. So, he decides to go to the States before it is too late. He hops on the plane bound for Nevada. He arrives in the Airport in Las Vegas.
As he is exiting the plane, someone in the airport runs up to him and exclaims, "Elvis! Oh my God! It's Elvis! I knew you weren't dead Elvis! How have you been?"
Father looks at her and says, "Get outta me face. Can't you see I'm
not Elvis? I don't look a thing like Elvis."
The father moves on to his cab waiting outside. He hops in his cab and
he's a little upset so he tells the cabby, "Take me to my hotel and
step on it."
The cabby turns and says, "Sure thing sir - Oh my God! It's Elvis! I knew
you weren't dead! I'm your number one fan! It's so great to see you!"
"Shut up, you imbecile. I'm not Elvis! Now turn around and drive!"
So, the cabby speeds up to the hotel. Father O'Malley gets his things and walks up to the hotel check-in counter. "Oh my God! Oh my God! It's you!" screams the hotel clerk. "You're back Elvis! I knew this day would happen. We saved everything just the way you like it! Free ~~~~~~burgers, peanut butter and fried banana sandwiches, masseurs, complementary hookers and a full liquor bar! I'm so glad you're back!"
Father O'Malley looks at the hotel clerk and says, "Thank you. Thank you very much!"
Yes, I do too! I read Cardhu’s post about the young children! One of these days, they will wish they hadn’t taken their sweet childhood away from them! And they wonder why young girls get into such trouble these days! I would like to give them my opinion!
I remember an awkward age I went through. I was in a piano recital at my teacher’s home. After the recital everyone was talking and chatting and I chimed in with “My mama says I’m too old to play with dolls but I’m too young to wear lipstick!” They all laughed and of course, I felt a little embarrassed....face blushing! (I’ve been mixed up ever since...LOL~~)
LOL~~~big time!
Thank you, Amy. I certainly will! You’ve made me feel welcome!
I had a time getting accustomed to posting in bed but sitting kills my back..sitting up in bed doesn’t..
I keep the laptop on a “legs folded up” breakfast tray on the bed. I can watch(listen to mostly) TV, freep and bird and critter watch at the same time..
I’ve learned how to work with my wireless, reset it when needed. I really like the freedom of a wireless keyboard and mouse. I rarely lose power so I don’t use the battery feature much..Sometimes I unplug during a storm and use the battery awhile. It’s good to have the option.
Great shot! I enjoy your flower posts so much.
Nice display, Cardhu.
Thanks for the Russian Air Show.
Good evening, Kitty Mittens.
I’ve been off and on today. I haven’t posted many graphics. I hated to take the time to find them; I don’t want to be slower than I am already. ;^ )
Thank you for the post NnB.
I looked at that graphic and poem before I chose the other. Both are very good poems for Father’s Day.
Thanks for sharing them with us.
Good evening, Dita.
We had a very good weekend. We went to dinner last night at the Elephant Bar. Today MrJust played golf. When he got home we had an afternoon snack and our Father’s Day ritual.
Marissa bought him golf balls, JustJr bought him wine and a small garden shovel (He broke his and he likes a small one for his vegetable garden).
We’ve had a very nice day.
Hope your day was lovely. Enjoy the evening.
* grin *
You noticed that I often go with quotes when I can’t find the perfect poem? LOL
* smile *
Pretty Butterfly Hugs!
LOL
Thanks for the laugh, Lady J.
