Nasturtiums were my favorite flower in CO. (And you never had to worry about losing the seeds. LOL!)

Meg, you always post the prettiest pictures - thank you!

They’re the first thing I remember starting when I was little. Big seeds, little fingers, good combo. I put them in egg cartons and put them on my windowsill. We had electric baseboard heat. I turned the heat all the way up before I left for school. I thought mom was going to KILL me! LOL

Thank you..... I post many flowers I wish I had..I call it my fantasy garden.
Many of the flowers I post are from gentler summer climates or colder winter climates..

A Kiss is Just a Kiss

Graphic by Billie

You must remember this
A kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by
And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you"
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by
Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny
it's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by

MEG, you selected one of my very favorite flowers, the humble nasturtium. Gorgeous pic of some red ones, they come in lovely colors. They grow all over the place here, as in this pic:

I am a big fan of nasturtium, GardenGirl. They grow great here in coastal SoCal..:) I love the ones with variegated leaves also.

I know that I have several pings to answer. I promise to get back to them.

Thank you all.

The school is having a luncheon to honor the volunteers today, so I will be gone for awhile. Probably about an hour plus a half hour to get ready.

See you later... I’ll let you know how it went. Hope they have more in attendance than they did at the PTA meetings.

;-)

I visited Yeats' Tower when I was in Ireland. Here 'tis:

DOWN BY THE SALLEY GARDENS
by: W.B. Yeats

DOWN by the salley gardens my love and I did meet;
She passed the salley gardens with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree;
But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree.

In a field by the river my love and I did stand,
And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand.
She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs;
But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.
