Know how I clean the ‘shack’ if I am in a real hurry? I get the yard blower and blow it out BUT have leaned it goes on the ceiling, walls, pictures, you name it but it is fun to cheat every once in a whils.

I had a wonderful time in that area in 1997 beautiful place. We went to Mount Washington and then drove through Vermont to Niagara. I loved the waterfalls and scenery in Vermont not to mention the Maple Syrup and certainly want to go back. It is sad that socialists have taken that State over as it certainly is one of the most beautiful places on God's earth. I loved some of the covered bridges we saw on route and I would recommend the beautiful drive along the Kangarmagus Highway. where we saw so many covered bridges and waterfalls.

Here is me eating a apple pizza, I could not believe but we asked in Pizza Hut in Conway if they did sweets (desert) and they said yes but not like in UK these are pizzas. We had the choice of apple or cherry so went for cherry and this was lunch the next day finishing it off.

We have Memorial Gardens in Ashford as do most towns in Britain here are some photos I have taken over the last few years of those gardens including some taken after the poppies have been laid.

Thanks lysie. We’ll be visiting my uncle’s grave(he served in the Army during the Korean war.) Then we will visit my sister’s grave. I can’t believe it has been almost 2 years since she died.

It is cold and rainy here. 55 degrees. Last year at this time is was 97 degrees. Weird weather...

I was in Korea for the first anniversary of 9-11, and was given a silk poppy. Commander of the 51st authorized it EARLY that morning for wear with BDUs. I proudly wore it that day, and it sits in my truck, to remind me, every day.

I will commiserate with you. The pollen count is out of control here in Utah also. I don’t itch, I’m not sneezing, and I’m not congested. All I have is sinus pressure, which is just miserable. Nothing seems to kill it, so I am enduring to the end of the pollen.

Did I tell you I am now a great-aunt? My first grand-nephew was born the first week in March. I saw him for the first time yesterday. Of course, he is the cutest baby ever. :) Well, until my oldest niece has her baby in 4 weeks. My, how time flies.

I think about Daddy, and Gene (now dead former father-in-law, USN, spooky) on days like this. My grandbaby is 32 inches high and weighs 27 lbs. Long and lean, like his daddy, grand daddy, and great grand-daddy. He's going to be a mean little barstid. That's good enough for me.

OH - thanks for those photos.....esp the covered bridge and the drive you recommend. I saw so many scenes I want to go back and “investigate” - see up close - like covered bridges, falls, etc....I will have to go back to New England.

Yes isn’t it something how the socialists in New England have now spread so far and so deep that the roots of our free nation almost cannot be seen there.

And, yet, in one of the little towns we did drive through, it was adorned everywhere with American flags.....a beautiful sight to behold even in that part of Amerika.....

Deep down, those Green Mountain boys’ hearts are still beating there in those beautiful hills...
