Hollywood, CA (BANG) - Jodie Foster split from her long-term lover because the actress was having an affair, it has been reported.
Jodie - who recently separated from Cydney Bernard after 14 years together - is alleged to have been seeing another woman, who she met on the set of her 2007 movie 'The Brave One'.
Cydney is said to have been left "devastated" after discovering 45-year-old Jodie was romancing producer and screenwriter Cindy Mort, 51.
A source told National Enquirer magazine: "The affair heated up last year and the pair have been quietly seeing each other since then."
Despite separating, Jodie - who has two children - and Cydney are still living together, but the 'Silence of the Lambs' star plans to move out in the near future.
The source added: "Although she and Cydney remain under the same roof at the moment, the relationship has been shattered. They'll continue to raise the boys together and try to keep a loving family unit despite their break-up. The love is gone."
Cindy has two children with her ex-partner, actress Melanie Mayron, who she remains close friends with. The pair live a few doors down from one another on the same street in Los Angeles.
I'm not caught up with Hollyweird news, either, because that was the last I heard, too.
When I think that President Ronald Reagan could have been spared a bullet, a Capitol Hill Police Officer the same, and Jim Brady, a former firearms collector spared becoming the poster child for the most rabid and continuing assault on the RKBA ever, (not to mention Hinkley having a better shot at getting in the sack with her) if Hinckley had just gone and gotten THE operation and left the .22 at home....Arrrrgh!

I remember watching Larry King Live several years ago, and he had Patrick Macnee of the Avengers as his guest. Macnee revealed that his mother was a lesbian who lived with her lesbian lover while raising him. Larry King said, “And you turned out OK”. Macnee immediately jumped in and said that no, he didn’t turn out OK. He grew up to be an alcoholic, couldn’t have a good relationship with women, had been married several times, and so on.
It is just a shame what is being allowed to happen to children nowadays. I shudder to think about these children growing up and how their screwed up lives are going to affect them and the rest of society.
One thing that I've always respected about her was the fact that she didn't publicize her personal life and make it an issue for the rest of us. My guess is that she STILL HASN'T publicized it, but it's the damned media that's doing it.
Frankly, I wish her well.

Foster is around my age, so I grew up watching her movies, beginning with "Freaky Friday"... lol... and ending with "Flight Plan".
But, I didn't know all that about Foster's upbringing. Ironically, I always thought she talked and behaved like one of my friends in high school, and it just so happens that HER mother was a lesbian, too. Her father had left them, too. But, my friend went to the opposite extreme - she was very promiscuous with men. Many people felt sorry for her, too.
Where do you get that she hates men? Just because she's a lesbian doesn't mean that she "hates men." Is it because she won't get into romantic relationships with them? If that's the case, then I'm a "man hater" too, since I've never though about a guy's hairy butt and felt all "funny" inside!

No, Tom Selleck was in a movie about a guy who is outed on a TV show as being gay, except he didn’t think he was really gay. It was in that movie that Tom Selleck kissed the leading man. (Can’t remember the name of the movie for the life of me. The leading guy’s first name was Kevin something or other).
That actress was Tatum O'Neal.

I'm in the same boat as you, though I never saw either of those movies... I developed a hugh crush on Foster when I saw "The Little Girl Who Lived Down the Lane." Before anyone thinks I'm creepy because of that, it's not like I just saw that movie a few weeks ago! I'm about 1 year older than Foster according to this article, so it's NOT creepy. I've always thought that she was really hot. Mostly, I think, because of the intelligent characters that she often plays. Like Clarice Starling.
