"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, weve traveled to every corner of the United States. Ive now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

One thing for sure, he never would have passed the security clearance.
That's what happens when you cling to your guns and your religion. You lose touch with reality. Not to worry, Obama has the answers (hope, change, etc.).
Of course it’s a monstrous gaffe.
But here’s what I think happened.
His brain combined two distinctly different numbers about the states.
There are 50 states. That number was somewhere in his brain.
There are only 48 that will be counted under the Obama primary scheme regarding Michigan and Florida.
OR:AND: He hasn’t been to three of the fifty but two of them he isn’t going to, and one he still plans to visit.
His mind was blown and could not handle these various numbers so it combined them into an impossible mess.
This is supposed to be America’s next great leader.
Will we continue to watch this empty suit play with his crotch each time other loyal Americans are paying respect to the flag that so many innocent, brave heros spilled their blood for so that the rest of us could live free?
obamwama is a sham and without any respect for the flag and country he want to serve as it highest leader.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
LOL
Thanks
If Bush made this mistake it would be all over the press for days.
bump
Naw, it was just a mistake he was thinking of 57 varieties of Ketchup.
Save it though. Might be worth something.
LOL...thanks for the tip.
Yes he is, but isn't he an eloquent buffoon? Something tells me you might want to get used to it.
I think he was going to say 50 states and then was corrected by his staff and meant to say 47 after being corrected.
Give the news media two weeks and they'll have 60% of all college students believing that Bush *did* say it.
Heck, just try asking Abe Lincoln's political party and most Harvard students will say "Democratic Party."
...society has been dumbed down.
Well, let’s see, there’s also Puerto Rico and Guam . . .
I’d agree that’s it just a gaffe if he hadn’t been confused about the number before.
AP meeting April 14th:
And I’ve now campaigned in 47 states, actively. And I think South Dakota is the last state that I have not had a campaign event in.
Now that doesn’t mean that I expect that I will win all 50 — or 48 states and Alaska and Hawaii — all 50 states.
.
I played this for my wife. She said “what’s his problem?”
Then said “one state left to go”, and she said “The state of Confusion?”
