Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
That's one of the reasons I'm flying down with Joseph to get him settled into school. We're doing an Air-Tran flight through Atlanta, and we'll have an almost two hour layover. That will give me time to show him how to negotiate the train system that runs between terminals, so that when he flies home for Christmas, it won't be completely foreign to him. If we can get him a flight out of New Orleans, nonstop, on JetBlue, that would be awesome, but if he has to go out of Gulfport, he WILL be stopping at least once along the way, and Atlanta is the likeliest place. It's a HUGH airport, so I didn't want to hit him with it without any previous experience.
Not completely. There’s some speckles in there! ;o) But they’re STILL cute.
I voted for Sarah Steelman over the Republican endorsed Kenny "So I voted for earmarks. What's that got to do with being governor?" Hulshof( an old Washington insider). Any time someone says "she's running a divisive campaign", it means she's got the goods on the other guy. Don't think she has a chance, but Hulshof doesn't impress me.
No worries about Jackson County positions, no Republican will ever win one.
I’ll have to bring a coin to flip at the polling place. :)
I can’t flush the toilet till the septic guy comes...
So guess how my day is going?
Ohjeez. What happened?
You could just “stock up” and drive to Denver for the convention...
Water is flowing out the top of the septic tank.
First sign was that ecurbh’s shower wouldn’t drain.
We used a plunger on it and pulled a lot of black sludge up into the tub, the rather slimy stuff that coats the drain pipe, couldn’t clear it.
Called the roto rooter guy who opened the lids on the septic tank and it’s full to overflowing, can’t see the inflow or the outflow to see if it’s clogged with roots or something till it’s pumped.
So they say!
~crosses legs~
Then the power went out.
Hah! What a fun day!
Something keeps reminding me of that Lake Wobegon story about the septic tank that was a... what was it... a 49 Ford or something.
Maybe they just need to roll down the other window a bit.
That would be "Homecoming", where Karl Krebsbach ends up driving the "septic tank" through the middle of the Homecoming parade, where his daughter is the homecoming queen. Classic.
Light a match?
Either they couldn’t afford a real one, or they had a low opinion of that car, but that’s what it was...
Septic guy is here, hookin’ up the hose.
Yay!
LOL... Yes! Karl Krebsbach. That’s the guy.
