Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!
I certainly got everyone talking about food, didn’t I? Heh heh!!
Well, my friends...it’s been another one of those days.
I took the boys out to eat lunch and on the way noticed I was loosing spots of vision...like I did that time before when I had the migraine, you know? Anyway, we got to the restaurant and by then I was pretty disoriented and had totally lost my peripheral vision in my right eye. I sat and didn’t say anything while the boys ate and it gradually started coming back. Finally I was able to drive home and I took my BP...it was 166/106. (Remember...I’m on THREE high strength bp meds.)
I called the doctor and was instructed to get to the ER, so Steve came home and took me. My BP in the ER was 178/108, according to their machine. I had a splitting headache and was very nauseated. They gave me some morphine and a nausea medicine and WHEW! It knocked me for a loop!! I could feel the headache pounding but couldn’t feel any pain.
Anyway...they did a CT scan of my brain and apparently it didn’t show anything so I got to come home...still, I go to the neurologist tomorrow anyway. We’ll see what comes of it.
Rose, I woulda called you if I’d been admitted.
ohfercryinoutloud 2J. I hope they find out what is causing this.
Take care of yourself. We’ll be praying.
Nope, won't go there... wouldn't be prudent. ;o)
Seriesly, hon, I hope the neurologist can figure out what the problem really is!
Thank you. :-)
I still feel out of it. I’m looking up the directions to the neurologist’s office, then I’m heading to bed. Will check in tomorrow.
Heh heh!! Funny...vey funny.
I’ll see you tomorrow.
If the neurologist doesn’t come up with a more specific diagnosis, I would suggest that you get a referral to a better neurologist. Maybe you can go to Princeton - Plainsboro and see Dr. House. Lousy bedside manner, but what a diagnostician.
I'll keep my phone with me tomorrow ...
Heh. Yogi Berra.
hppf ,ptmomh
Just remember, if you need somewhere to stay on the way to the Mayo clinic, we’ve got a spare bed. It’s currently covered in cat hair and gun bits but we’d clear it off for you.
Sheesh. I hope the doctors figure it out today.
Jeepers 2J! I hope you’re feeling better this morning, and I hope you get this solved soon.
I saw her yesterday! :~)
No tellin’ why she ain’t talkin’ much! Maybe she wilted in the heat.
Good grief...I second the second opinion idea if they find nothing today. Prayers that they figure out what’s going on...it’s the not knowing that’s the hardest.
Mrsnad
Maybe she’s still busy playing guitar.
She’s probably over there fretting all by herself...
~snort~
Well, she just left for work...
Yeah, pretty much. I have a ton to work on after that camp. And some new looping software that's pretty dandy for practicing along with.
I also somewhat unwittingly started a mild flame war on the guitar list this morning, concerning a) whether the way Martin bridge pins are set from the factory is wrong, and b) if it's really a big deal if they *are* wrong.
Fascinating, no?
