Sounds like you've got the makings of a gospel song, based on the Book of Job.
Heh, we had the tornado sirens go off the other night so we went down to the basement for a while. It’s nice to have that option.
I want a Jim Giles Safe Room. He was the meteorologist I liked so much that passed away about a year and a half ago. He set up this business right before he passed away and now his wife promotes it. She just says something like “Keep safe with a Jim Giles Safe Room” and is in partnership with the steel company that makes them.
All I want is a decent cup of coffee.
Heh. If a tornado comes while I’m asleep, I’m pretty much SOL.
Well, with days like today, I've got enough material. My mom called to tell me my stepdad was in the hospital again with an irregular heart beat. He's had two quadruple bypass surgeries. They're keeping him until they can confirm whether it was an actual heart attack. He just can't seem to get a break. Since he gave up the store, he's had hip trouble, MRSA and now this. He's supposed to have knee replacement surgery, but it keeps getting delayed. His first name is Cecil.
Then she also told me this.
So far so good with my bp.
Since being on the stronger patch, I’ve been able to discontinue one medication and have cut another one in half and am still maintaining a normal pressure.
So now I’m on
Metoprolol 50 mg twice a day (used to be 100mg)
Procardia XL 60mg once a day
Catapress patch TTS-2 once a week. (used to be TTS-1)
That’s it!
I’m hopeful that the patch will cover me enough that I can get off the Metoprolol all together. But I can’t just stop Metoprolol like I did with the Lisinopril...can cause rebound hypertension...
“Mmmmthat’s Bad.”
You have to wean off it.
Who knows...I may end up with just the patch. And maybe they’ll figure out what’s wrong with me and I won’t need anything eventually!
I’m outta here. We’re heading to DC for a reception honoring a friend in his new position. Hope to make it back in time for LOST...but keep it quiet, just in case.
Will be quiet from our camp... we probably won’t watch till tomorrow night.
Rosie... we’re thinking LOST tomorrow night, with steak fajitas :~) Sound good?
Ooh...sounds *very* good.
See ya Corin!
I’m loggin’ off too...my folks are coming and I have to get the house spiffed up and then go to work...so I won’t be on much for the next few days either.
That's what we're all hoping and praying for, 2J!
See you when we see you!
BTW...although I've just ridiculed those who fuss with cartridge refilling...I admit I'm still hankering for the ultimate in inconvenient writing paraphernalia: I want a dip pen and a bunch of nibs.
I need to not go near Pendemonium's site for awhile.
Mrs. is late coming back from her appointment (but she got a sale!). She's still about 45 minutes away, so with changing, etc. we couldn't get away before 3:00. It's a 4:30 Open House, and at least a 2-hour drive...
The ~bigger~ factor is that the nursing home just called and they're taking Nana to the hospital. Her potassium is low and apparently they can adjust it more quickly at the hosptial. So it may not be an overnight stay ($256 per day thankyouverymuch). They already put her on oxygen because she was so out of breath when they brought her back from therapy.
I'm inclined to say we shouldn't go. Mrs. probably thinks that too but is having a hard time getting to that point.
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough day Corin, hope everything straightens out.
So...God convinces her we shouldn’t go by having the van die on her...
I swear I’m not making this up.
Thanks. Stick around long enough. It’s just the world I live in.
Well at least He's not out tripping my horse.
Sounds like you have enough reasons not to go, now. Hope Nana's condition improves getting her in.
Have a good weekend then! :~)
Quite a while, at this rate. I'm working nine nights straight, due to schedule changes. After that, maybe a quick familiarization firing, since optics are still a major unknown.
I'll probably have a tear-down report this Saturday.
I guess you’re being blessed with trouble.
