Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Sing hey! for the bath at close of day
That washes the weary mud away!
A loon is he that will not sing:
O! Water Hot is anoble thing!
O! Sweet is the sound of falling rain.
and the brook that leaps from hill to plain;
but better than rain or rippling streams
is Water Hot that smokes and steams.
O! Water cold we may pour at need
down a thirsty throat and be glad indeed;
but better is Beer, if drink we lack,
and Water Hot poured down the back.
O! Water is fair that leaps on high
in a fountain white beneath the sky;
but never did fountain sound so sweet
as splashing Hot Water with my feet!

We don’t have any more chipmunks, mice or voles, thanks to thegreycat, whose actual name is, I found out, Jackson Silver.
Heh. If you’re going to Knoxville I expect you’ll be playing that one.
What is this Bayer w/Merit of which you speak?
It is a wonderful grub control product you put down once and it kills grubs all season long. I like it because it’s pretty specific and I don’t have a problem with outside bugs that don’t eat my grass. Except for mosquitoes, gnats, flies, and ticks. Oh wait, maybe I do have a problem with outside bugs after all! LSA

Merit is a trade name for imidacloprid.
I won a bag of this stuff in a drawing at werk. So I've got it stored in my garage and dang if some chipmunk chewed it's way into the bag and strewed it all over the place. Steenkin' varmints!
That’s what I need and what the “free” estimate from the pest control guys said I needed. Do I just use spreader? And can I apply it at anytime?
Yeah, use a spreader and you can apply from May to August. I need to spread some myself.
The news is a lot better when it’s all weather.
Cool. Thanks.
I think we played it at least once last time I was there. ;-)
It’s overdone sometimes, but awful fun for harmonies and all.
Oh, is this the plant you brought from the funeral? It should be fine when it has stopped moving around so much.
Oh that’s right, your Guitar Camp is coming up! I hope you’ll have a great time, and learn lots of stuff!
I like the part about the moonshiners, though.
One of 'em. It looks fine, but still dropping leaves. And, it needs to be repotted, but I'm going to wait a bit.
How’d yuh make out?...
Pleasant evening last nite... Started pouring here about 0600... glad I got the majority of the spring foodplots in last nite...
We’re under “extreme water restrictions” for probably the next three weeks. Drinking water only.
Ouch...
invest heavily in wet wipes and paper plates...
Ugh.... it’s doubly bad for me, because people will start overloading on perfume and stuff to cover up body odors, and that sets off my bad headaches.
