Welcome to the weekend thread.
Hope your tooth is better, kassie. We’re going to stay a little cool here today, especially if it remains cloudy.
Yes, ‘tis a bit muggy this morning, but still a nice morning. We enjoyed Johnson Space Center yesterday.
My face is still swollen, but doesn’t hurt quite so much.
Roomey’s favorite breakfast, bacon, eggs on pancakes and a bowl of grits. I’ll take the bacon and eggs. yummy.
Good Morning Everyone. It’s beautiful in central Texas this morning.
Rav, did you buy a push mower?
Again? WOW this global warming is something!
Our farmers planted their’s about 4 March, the weather was perfect. A lot of farmers planted soy beans where last year was corn.
A wholesome and welcome bit of good news: Urban agriculture planting its seed in Waterbury
And another on the "immorality" of hurting plants: The Silent Scream of the Asparagus
Well, ignore any screams you may hear from coming from NC....My mission today is to KILL weeds.
Thanks for the links, Molly.
I am at work - gettingtired of working 6 days aweel when :I should be doing other things....
I've been up since 5:00 am - couldn't sleep any more.
Good morning.
Oh get better soon....
Hey lysie - how’s it going in NY? Weather here is geting warmer....
Good morning All. Reading all the farm news, my newspaper says many of the citrus/avocado farmers locally are chopping down trees. Water is getting scarce and too expensive. My piece of paradise is really a desert, you know. W/o water, we will begin to look like it.
That is too bad - does that mean more imports on those fruits? that would be too bad...
That’s so strange, I thought it was sinuses too. Mine is swollen and hurts up by my eye.
How is your tooth?
Mmmmmm, bacon, eggs and pancakes... yum!
This looks sooooooo good.
Possibly. Perhaps from Mexico. We get a lot of our fruits/veggies from Mex now.
I need to have a root canal done.
Folds, I am getting worried about the elections, Obamo is a radical left wing nut (hope someone comes up his voting past in Ill) And, Hill-O-ree, we already know about her, ‘the truth ain't in her’.
I have said it before and I will tell it again, something my daddy told me when I was a wee little boy. He said, ‘son, when you grow up there are three things you must NEVER do, NEVER stay in a motel with ‘vacancy’ painted on the side wall, Never buy a used car from a salesman named ‘Gig Hearted Eddie’’ and ‘never, vever trust a Democrat’. Smart man he was, such wisdom.
You know, days like this just makes me sit back and be sad, I get to missing my wife (as I do all the time anyhow)
day dream of days when I was young, relive my career in law enforcement, listen to nothing but sad, lonely songs,
gulp coffee like there will be no tomorrow and yet, be so thankful for my family.
WITH OUT SAYING, being proud of having friends such as each of you, just like my next door neighbor, coffee drinking friends.
So much for crying in my coffee, think I will go and gather some eggs, got two dozen yesterday, not bad for a days work by the gals.
All have a happy, good day, and just remember, your family is so important to you so please tell them and show them, one never knows when something will happen.
Toby
