Anti-Aging Power
Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. —Isaiah 40:31

Americans spend more than $20 billion annually on various anti-aging products that claim to cure baldness, remove wrinkles, build muscle, and renew the powers of youth. Can those products deliver what they promise? Dr. Thomas Perls of Boston University School of Medicine says there is “absolutely no scientific proof that any commercially available product will stop or reverse aging.”

But there is a promise of spiritual vitality that defies the ravages of time. “Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isa. 40:30-31).

Isaiah used the eagle as a symbol of freedom and endurance, held aloft by a source of power outside itself. As we put our hope and trust in the Lord, we are carried along by His strength and not our own. The psalmist said it is the Lord who nourishes us so that our “youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Ps. 103:5).

Are we taking advantage of God’s anti-aging power? It’s promised to all who put their trust in Him for strength of heart, vigor of spirit, and energy of soul.

The ravages of time cannot be stopped;
Yes, outwardly we perish every day;
But inner strength of heart can be renewed
By trusting in the Lord to light our way. —Sper

Growing old is a blessing when you’re growing closer to God.

All the pictures are breathtaking in the PP, Dolly. And, Floyd Cramer on the piano? A favorite of mine. He used to play with Boots Randolph (sax) and Chet Atkins (guitar) in concert, and they always brought the house down.

Thanks, Cardi. Great PP!

Have I told you lately that I love you
Could I tell you once again somehow
Have I told with all my heart and soul how I adore you
Well darlin’ I'm telling you now

My world would end today if I should lose you
I'm no good without you, anyhow
This heart would break in two if you refuse me
Well darlin’ I'm telling you now

Have I told you lately how I miss you
When the stars are shining in the sky
Have I told you why the nights are long
When you're not with me
Well darlin’ I'm telling you now

My world would end today if I should lose you
I'm just no good without you, anyhow
This heart would break in two if you refuse me
My darlin’, I'm telling you now...

This PP Presentation brought back memories of my youth.

The pictures are absolutely beautiful; I enjoyed singing along with the music.

This was a favorite song when I was a young teenager.

Thank you for the beautiful pictures and the memeory evoking music.

Sparkle and Shine

Spring is a time for friendships, for dressing up in style,
For celebrating Nature’s gifts for just a little while.
It’s timing that’s the issue, and sending out the signs,
Take time to smell the flowers while you’re practicing your lines.

Weddings are in Summertime. Spring’s when the trap is set,
Though the quarry to be captured has not quite been sighted yet.
We will know him by his sparkle, and the shine upon his shoes,
And we’ll have a private chuckle as he tries to then amuse.

Then he’ll think that he has charmed us, and he’ll smile a happy smile,
And he’ll come into the parlor just to chat a little while.
Then the spider-webs will tangle that he doesn’t even see,
He’ll be grateful that he spied her, and he’ll then forget to flee.

What a precious little angel, CG.
Thank you for sharing her with us.

I was thinking about you a couple of days ago.
I was wondering why we hadn't been treated to a new picture of Hadley Grace.

Let her and her Mom know that Amy's will be thinking of her on her dedication Day.

Hi everyone. I am glad you liked the presentations and thank you Amy for the lyrics – I would always sing the first line with gusto and fade away trying to fake it by humming. I would never make a singer.

I have never heard of the pianist either yorkie, but then that is not unusual for me I was never up to date with the musicians of my day, or any day either. Just terminally hopeless.

I have been having trouble with my computer for the last couple of days and it seems to be getting worse. I have run some cleanup tools but I still have to reboot from time to time. Next step I will try restoring from a about a week ago and see if that helps.

Looking forward to getting to see the Delta Queen and also getting to tag along on your tour (if we can).

I happened to go into the website yesterday where I booked our airline tickets and discovered that Delta has changed our flights (that I spent days and days planning and then booked, confirmed and PAID for). I wonder exactly when they were going to tell us. Now they have added an extra stop on our return trip AND, get this, we end up having TWO minutes to change planes in Atlanta........don't even ask why we are going to Atlanta from Columbus. LOL.

Anyway, I need to get on the phone and fight this out with them. I am not looking forward to this. The airlines lately seem to act as if they are doing you a favor to let you fly on their planes and if they want to change your flight schedule, they don't much care if you like it or not. They don't even ASK if they can move you to a different flight, that's what gets me. We sure can't run our business that way. :-(

I guess if you are going to fly anywhere anymore, you'd better be flexible and have a LOT of patience......unfortunately, my husband has neither of these qualities. This should be interesting. LOL.

Great links, Yorkie. Thanks.

Here is ....

I Can't Stop Loving You
by Don Gibson

Those happy hours that we once knew,
Though long ago, still make me blue.
They say that time heals a broken heart.
But time has stood still since we've been apart.

I can't stop loving you
So I've made up my mind
To live in memory
Of old lone-some times.

I can't stop wanting you
It's use-less to say.
So I'll just live my life
In dreams of yesterday.

Those happy hours that we once knew,
Though long ago, still make me blue.
They say that time heals a broken heart.
But time has stood still since we've been apart.

I can't stop loving you,
There's no use to try.
Pretend ther's some one new;
I can't live a lie.

I can't stop wanting you
The way that I do.
Ther's only been one love for me,
That one love is you.

I read you are going to be in the “area” ...(well WV isn’t that far.). again?

Yes, actually we are going to be in the area the last ten days of July. We are going to Massachusetts to tour our ancestor's stomping grounds and then to West Virginia to spend a couple days with Nan. I will freepmail our itinerary after I get our flights hashed out with Delta (see my previous post to Nan). It would be great if we could meet up at some point along the way.

No, it will just be me and jk on this trip. I had hoped that Amy could meet us in Massachusetts, but the timing doesn't work out for her.
