Prayer Request for Jim Robinson Original post: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1995434/posts?page=1
Sorry about being gone all day yesterday. I was at the VA hospital where a team of doctors and cardiovascular surgeons were examining my legs and trying to come up with a treatment plan for the circulatory problem I've been fighting for the last several years. The good news is they think they can save my legs! Hurrah! And I will probably be out most of today too. I'm going back to the VA this morning for some sonogram tests. More on that on another thread later. By the way, I was really impressed with the professionalism, courtesy, concern, care and respect the VA staff gives to our veterans. These people are great! |

Glad everything went well.Maybe they can save part of the toe.I had a priest friend who had that and they said they were going to remove but they did save part of it.

Thank you for the update Jim. You have been in my prayers today, and it is good to hear that healing blood is now flowing through your leg. Sorry that the toe has to go, but better the toe than the leg. Thank God for the healing that will now take place. May you soon be pain-free and back to health and comfort. Will continue to keep you in prayers.

I know many of you probably already know the update, but here is the official update from Jim Robinson:
Howdy everyone! Were hooome! Thank you all so much for your prayers! The operation went smoothly and without much pain. I now have at least two major arteries delivering healing blood to my legs. Im still a bit groggy and dont know exactly what was done, but I believe I received at least two stints. The surgeon will be calling me sometime in the next few days to set up a consultation. He says the big toe has got to go.

Thank you for pinging writer33. Good news to know it’s over and JimRob is doing well.
“He says the big toe has got to go.”
JimRob’s even making poetry, but that’s OK as long as the rest of him stays well.
Prayers continued.

When I saw that you were going in I was at work and couldn't post prayers on line so got two coworkers who are also ordained pastors of small Churches and we had a prayer session.
Glad all went well.

Glad to hear your home on your way to recovery Jim.
My dad had a similar operation. He was still mobile, but had difficulty walking and had some discoloration in his feet, but they somehow cleaned out the arteries in his legs with a probe. This was done to prevent clotting which may eventually cause migration to the major arteries of the heart.

Good news! Prayers for Jim. We would be alone and isolated without you, just typical American people clinging to our Bibles and guns, lighting candles in the dark.
